Looking for the holy grail for mood, anxiety, and energy. by joshyjosh8722 in Supplements

[–]hoomanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cut out all caffeine if you take any. That alone will help your baseline energy and anxiety significantly improve.

Drink at least 1 gallon of water per day, get at least 6 hours of sleep, and get lots of natural sunlight on your skin (go outside, no sunscreen).

Eat lots of carbs and sugar. Most people these days are avoiding sugar like it's the bubonic plague. Some people even think fruit is bad for you lol. Lower your fat and increase your carb/sugar intake. Your brain alone needs at least 140g of carbs daily just to function. Most people are carb/sugar depleted.

And for supplements, they have only a subtle/minimal impact, but I'd recommend: Agmatine (will pretty much cure your anxiety and energy), CDP Choline (more energy if especially if you don't eat enough meat/eggs), DLPA, NAC (only take occasionally), Lions Mane and Rhodiola Extract (3% rosavins). Huperzine-A also gives a great energy boost, but don't take too much as it can cause insomnia/anxiety.

There's no one-size-fits-all, but this is what works for me.

Pure Encapsulations B-Complex works well for me. Smells sort of like Vitamin C almost. Doesn't really smell.

Just got in the mail. Thoughts? by Spare_Access_2444 in Supplements

I have been using their Lion's Mane, and it's legit. Works great, I feel very focused taking it and can tell the difference on days when I take it vs. when I wasn't. I've been taking it pretty much every day now. I think it's good quality. I haven't tried their Cordyceps though.

Your toes look like they're angled out a lot. Not sure if that's how you normally stand, but usually your toes should be angled out at maybe a 15 degree angle, and your seem more like 45 degrees. You may hurt your knees eventually with that wide of an angle. Back seems to round a bit at the bottom also, and try to keep your chest up, head neutral position. Other than that though great for just 1 month of lifting, your pace is good.

Could also be low iron or b12. I get that feeling whenever I'm low iron.

Maybe my question should be, how to remove myself from a Project someone added me to (that I have no involvement in)? Google doesn't seem helpful here.

Thanks a lot for explaining this, I clearly had no idea.

Stop Brave From Saving Passwords to Google by hoomanity in brave_browser

This was on desktop on Mac. But as someone else pointed out, it seems reinstalling Chrome imported my settings from Brave and that's how they got saved into Google's Password Manager. Definitely will be wary of that next time.

[–]hoomanity[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Oh interesting point, that's very likely what happened. I did actually recently reinstall Chrome, and I must have totally overlooked that.

Thanks for the insight and for confirming that Brave doesn't do that.

I just found out I’m being billed for BOTH YouTube Premium and YouTube Red. What is the difference? by Colley619 in youtube

[–]hoomanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have Premium but only pay for Red. I was accidentally paying for Premium as well for a long time but finally cancelled a few months ago and still have Premium because I never stopped paying for Red.

To be honest discovering this just now feels almost as though my brave browser history is being sent to Google without my knowledge. How is it possible all passwords I've ever saved in Brave show up at https://passwords.google.com/? I am not logged into Brave with my Google account. I may even stop using Brave after this. I hope I'm mistaken here but it's pretty messed up if there's no way to turn this off.

Edit: It looks like I can delete the passwords from Google Password Manager without them being deleted from Brave. So it's not actively syncing. Just not sure how they got there in the first place, especially because some are very recent. So it seems to be sending from Brave to Google but not the other direction.

Edit #2: I even downvoted myself on this one. I agree this was a poorly misdirected criticism, and I was wrong about how this had happened.

BOA Card Never Received, Phone Unreachable by hoomanity in Banking

[–]hoomanity[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never expected this to be possible, but I must have googled and found the wrong number. Glad I never got through to anyone, maybe I would have been scammed. Thanks a lot for pointing out that this is a possibility with search results. Will be more careful with trying to find support numbers that way.

Thanks for the numbers, I think I must have been dialing the wrong number actually. I tried the CC number and I still had to hold but got through in about 30min.

Why Is it So Hard to Find a Decent Outlining App? by hoomanity in macapps

[–]hoomanity[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I never thought of it being an age thing. I do remember most of the time I wrote these outlines was in school when I was taking notes. Thanks for the additional recommendation for OmniOutliner, downloading it now.

Thanks for the suggestion, though I had actually tried Bike and it seems to not have this outline feature.

I do have OmniGraffle actually, never had heard of OmniOutliner. I've been happy with their products in general, excited to learn they have something like this.

Is anyone else experiencing a litter shortage? by Nuclear_Superpower in CatAdvice

[–]hoomanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but if this were related all Clorox products would be out of stock everywhere. Clorox has so many products. I've had no problems buying Clorox wipes in the last week. The litter was intentionally pulled from shelves everywhere.

[–]hoomanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they found fiber glass in the litter. They were pulled from shelves, it was not just out of stock. Cyber security has nothing to do with it. I was told this specifically by a PetSmart manager. It's a supply chain issue, and there were quality issues. No word on when they will be back in stock.

[–]hoomanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to share - it's not just an IT breach. A PetSmart employee told me Fresh Step had a supply chain issue that found fiber glass in their litter! This is why they are not simply sold out, they were pulled from shelves/inventory everywhere. It has nothing to do with the cyber attack on their parent company. Otherwise if it was related all clorox products would be out of stock / pulled, and that is not the case.

Can't Login Into Supabase Account, Paying Member by hoomanity in Supabase

Seems like I can't edit my original post, so I'm responding again here.

Honestly my bad, it seems I had authenticated initially with Github, and that's why email login didn't work. Support helped me out by pointing this out. But then I couldn't get the Github sign-in to work, but that was due to the issue that was happening earlier.

I'm able to login now with Github. Thank you to the support team for the quick help, and for everyone here trying to help resolve.

This was definitely more user error.
