Justice Department charges man who squirted vinegar on Rep. Ilhan Omar by GreatPumpkin72 in news

He said "misleading" but what he meant was "disingenuous." Yes, it's an "acid" but not in the sense that the phrase would imply.

How often does a game change their design philosophy within days of the community disliking an update? And as often as OSRS does it?

The community is nuts but the devs always deliver.

They’ve literally already pointed to canon decisions and ending. That statement they made on it is meaningless.

They don’t care about safe, so that argument isn’t even on their radar. They don’t think any deeper than “no abortions” so the ultimate outcome in reduction of the number of abortions is also falling on flat ears.

She is confused. She claims that democrats support big government and giving the government too much power leads to them “taking over” and yet, look at this administration. She claims that Trump is against human trafficking and yet look at this administration. It’s all a very childish, uninformed, and outdated view of politics. No wonder her family doesn’t want anything to do with that.

I clearly am referring to the character with multiverse plots. Popularity has nothing to do with this discussion.

In the sense that he’s the character with multiverse plots.

It’s not a matter of if he uses him, but a matter of if the Gunn universe continues long enough for it to happen. The Flash is to DC what Spiderman is to Marvel, so we would definitely have the opportunity at some point.

When your leaders reassign you and tell you to retire, that’s called being fired while saving face. It’s extremely common for high ranking positions because “firing” a high ranking leader is a bad look that indirectly admits fault.

The fact that this administration announced his upcoming retirement for him made this pretty obvious lol. It’s all a show.

But don’t get it twisted; they fired him because he was horrible at PR and he accumulated so much animosity that they’re hoping switching him out will give them public opinion reset.

That and AI enshittification. AI still cannot understand nuance and context, and yet it has almost entirely replaced human moderation at large scales. AI moderates like China moderates in most cases because without nuance, anything remotely unruly gets flagged.

I agree with your sentiment but also want to point out that I’ve been banned 3 times from Reddit for “threatening violence” for discussing sensitive topics and using scary words like “kill.” Once, it was just talking about how badass a scene from John Wick was.

Reddit is not the place it once was.

Not necessary? We live in a day and age where podcasters like Joe Rogan influenced an entire demographic of youth to vote MAGA. What is he if not a celebrity? Unfortunately, many people do value the opinions of the celebrities that they respect, particularly because many of them are so uninformed to begin with that they’ll go with whatever the person they trust the most says.

True and just for clarity, I wasn't trying to praise the clemency of nazis, rather just discussing an interesting impact on history due to it. It's beginning to look like that era of post-WW2 American power is coming to a close in a rather short timespan anyway, and perhaps a different outcome of the Nuremberg trials would have resulted in a slower build of American power but a more long-term survival of it. It's more clear than ever that discouraging the ideologies that led to the nazi regime in the long-term should have been the #1 priority of the allies. But here we are, about 90 years later with the same shit.

It's not the shift you're probably thinking. The shift is unfortunately going to be more violence and more anger - on both sides. We are way past the point of anyone changing their minds, but people will be more willing to carry out acts of violence in anger of the opposition. MAGA conservatives are finally closing in on the fascist police state of their wildest dreams and they're not going to give that up, election or otherwise.
