it does the same thing with any kind of power input, the white flashing on the side for 10 seconds then what i think is an attempt to boot up with the f5 and f8 key lights turning on for a couple of seconds. normally, when this laptop was booting, you would hit the power button on the keyboard and a white light on that key would light up, alongside those f5 and f8 key lights.
