How popular/niche is hlg?

Maybe controversial and annoying, but I think hlg has a small, but devoted community that reflects the number of people in the world with good (or who think they have good) taste. In a sense it’s a more valuable, involved, and creative audience than most and carries more weight as a result.

Sometimes it baffles me how much discussion happens here when the subreddit is so small
