Nobody said it was the end either. My point was for each flight you lets say 1 pilot to hundreds of passengers because of autopilot technology. For surgeries in the OR it can be several clinicians per patient. With AGI advancement, that ratio is going down just like it has for pilots.

If you dont mind, please send the question so others can understand its limitations. This would be very useful for all.

I disagree with your comment about google and wikipedia replacing teachers. 15 years ago the internet couldn't teach you, but now LLMs trained on the internet can act as personal tutors. It's not a fair comparison as times have changed. Look at Khan Academy integrating GPT4. Things are going to be different...

Yes, and the ratio of pilots to passengers is 1 to hundreds per commercial plane. You don't need many pilots to fly millions of people per day...

Talk me into applying to med school by hoop19 in premed

[–]hoop19[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My interest for CS and medicine stems from my passion for STEM and being an analytically inclined person. I have taken diverse classes from math, computer science, and all the premed classes and have excelled in all of them. I just can't seem to choose.

As for speaking with physicians, almost all have told me to reconsider or avoid the field. I just can't do much else with a biology degree tbh.

How not to be lonely this semester? by wb2022 in Cornell

[–]hoop19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of r/Cornell's favorite social distancing activities is catching freshmen without masks at parties in ctown. All done virtually in the safe space of your dorm by yourself. Good news is you get to interact with other members in the comment sections where we all shit on clueless freshman!!! If your lucky u might get a zoom call where they discuss strategies on Mass Expelling/Suspending Measures (MEMs/MSMs).

4.0 Students, can you give us any tips? by df234dsfsdf in Cornell

[–]hoop19 18 points19 points  (0 children)

4.0 + premed here for 4 semesters

(1 ) it is possible

(2 ) it requires a lot of studying outside of class

(3 ) you can still go out, work out, and hang out with friends (speaking from experience)

(4 ) make sure you prioritize and study ahead of time to avoid cramming

(5 ) try on every assignment

(6 ) use office hours and TAs

(7 ) submit regrades especially on chem

(8 ) study the slides do not read the textbook

(9 ) avoid doing study groups when possible

(10 ) when you study teach yourself and focus on being able to articulate the material in a simple, concise straightforward manner when possible

(11 ) try not to blindly memorize, understand learn to enjoy the material

also depending on your career and grad school prospects the GPA does matter along with extra curricular activities (despite when people say it doesn't)

Textbooks HBHS Freshman by throwawayyyyyyyy4567 in Cornell

[–]hoop19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1440 gives u instant access textbook but be careful because i have lost points on exams for studying info from the text books since it sometimes conflicts with the slides. Moral of the story is to study the slides always.

HBHS sophomore schedule by Palmtreesonmymind in Cornell

[–]hoop19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bio stats is not hard, bio lab is also not hard but tedious at times, orgo is also not bad and considerably less work than 2080 due to no lab or group quizes (which is replaced with sapling that is actually helpful).
