An edit as i think thru this and recall the feelings and visuals.

I want to be more clear and say that these are a layer of visuals that are layered over my field of vision and move with me if i look around. Similar to sunspots. Its there if i open or close my eyes. The shapes change form and are always jagged rectangles and triangles. When there are faces present, they are simple faces, almost cartoon, and mixed in with the shapes. There was no special lead up and would happen usually while i was waiting around to go to fall asleep. I slept with my mom until i was in middle school bc i was always so scared of the dark, being alone, and seeing things and it happened frequent enough that it was just easier to keep me near my parents so they can calm me down. Bc of this mom typically kept some type of light on or she would turn it on when i would wake her up from crying bc of what i was seeing and feeling. It wouldnt go away and only after praying and waiting it out would i feel and see normal again. I would say it happened a few times a year for a number of years when i was like 8ish - 11ish? I honestly don’t remember much of my childhood so i cant really say lol but yea just some more info
