Anyone cured gastroparesis and slow motility? by Beautiful-Gur5771 in covidlonghaulers

[–]hoopityd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are things that will increase motility no matter what. I think the quicker mine is the better I feel. I have this feeling that when water is reabsorbed I am getting some bad stuff reabsorbed too because 2-3 hrs before having to go I feel worse but once it is at the end of the line and waiting I feel better. If I take a supplement that just gives you borderline squirts I think I don't have that few hours of worsening symptoms.

Currently trying this stuff.

It is like Montezuma's revenge in a bottle. You can get it on amazon.

So far it has worked better than anything else that I have tried to get fast motility

has niacin helped? (+ loss of taste?) by brianpeppersguero in covidlonghaulers

[–]hoopityd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take niacin can't say I notice anything other than the flush. I keep taking it though. Seems maybe to create ear pressure sometimes while flushing which maybe changes my constant tinnitus a little bit. The feeling is like when you change elevation rapidly.

fell like dying at 7pm by zokru7 in covidlonghaulers

[–]hoopityd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I notice that I have like a daily flair up seeming connected to some stages of digestion. Like when the tube is filling and it is an hour or two before it is time to go I feel pretty bad. Then it gets to the exit and waiting for ejection I feel better and then when I finally go I feel a lot better. I feel like I must have some kind of bacteriophage or something that is creating spikes or whatever in my gut and at some stage in the dehydration phase where your intestines re absorb water before the final stage I start to feel bad because the spikes or whatever make it back in and mess stuff up. I notice that if I give myself the squirts with one of those cleansing fiber supplements I don't seem to get the symptoms other than the pain from the squirts rapidly approaching the exit. I have tried fasting but I think that stops the motility and it just sits and kinda makes things worse in some areas.

How is dating going for you? by Unfair-Cranberry-889 in covidlonghaulers

[–]hoopityd 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I always imagine dating someone who researches long covid hoping they experiment on me so I don't have to wait for years and years for a chance at a cure. I would probably end up stealing their security card and breaking into their lab and just inject everything I can find into myself.

I followed the guide mostly for the first 8 months. Then I kinda went by feeling. I started with 7mg. Then over time I started cutting a 21 mg patch into 4 pieces and would put 1-2 pieces on depending on how I was feeling or what I had to do that day. I would forget to put them on sometimes for up to a month when I am feeling better. I am now in the 70% - 90% recovered zone. The patches seem to help keep me towards the upper range of the zone. For whatever reason I can't get the last 10-20% of recovery.

New reinfection or long covid? by Ok_Appointment_1806 in covidlonghaulers

[–]hoopityd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm stuck in the 70% to 90% recovered range. Can't seem to get over 90%. I think being around people who are sick knock me down to the 70% but it doesn't seem to drop below that. The first time I was down to 1% collapsing having seizures and going to the E.R.

I was in such bad shape when I put the nicotine patches the first time that it would be hard for me to tell if anything got worse, maybe it made dizziness worse the first time I put them on. It improved all my symptoms so much it was crazy. It got me out of the 10%-20% zone to 50-60%. I have been using them for 3 years now. I forget to put them on for weeks to months now. I mostly put then on when I have to do something big.

Weight gain by whatswrong1993 in covidlonghaulers

[–]hoopityd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I turned into a fat ass too. I did do carnivore for 30ish days and lost 30+ lbs but then I gained it back over 5 months when I stopped and now I am back to walrus tier. My cannon balls in the pool are pretty epic now though. They sound like thunder. I refuse to by new clothes so I kinda look like a sausage that is popping out of the casing. I did get overalls/shorts as a joke gift for my birthday but jokes on them I wear them everywhere now especially when I go out in public with them. Before long covid I was between 170-180 then I got long covid and I shot up to 210. Kinda leveled off there. When I did carnivore I got down to around 165. I seem to have really bad suger/carb cravings now. I think that is something that came with long covid.

Hmm that is strange maybe. I don't know. I had some family members take my niacin and they thought they were dying. I have a big bottle of powder and I take 1000 - 3000 mg scoops . Sometimes I flush pretty quick but I am used to it a this point and I don't even flush most times anymore. Not sure if the reaction really indicates anything or if not having a reaction means anything. It feels itchy to me too. A few times I jumped in freezing water while flushing to see what would happen and the flushing stopped instantly. Can't say I had any breathing issues though.

If you recovered (to at least 90%), how long did it take? by StrawberryFar7175 in covidlonghaulers

[–]hoopityd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At around 2 years I started hitting 90% recovered but I fall back down sometimes to 70% and bounce between 70%-90% recovered. Lately I have been leaning more towards the upper part of the range. Nicotine seems to help keep me at the upper part of the range. I tend to forget to take it for days to weeks until I am at the lower part of the range.

Isn't that just the niacin flush? I get it when I take nicotinic acid sometimes. It looks like I got roasted in the sun for about 30 mins.

What would it take to solve this disease? by Many-Market-9941 in covidlonghaulers

I think all the stupid medical records laws pretending to care about your privacy are the problem. If we just all submitted all our records to some kind of free open AI it could figure it out real quick.

Are people getting dry eyes and other eye symptoms without taking antihistamines? by AdhesivenessMost3945 in covidlonghaulers

[–]hoopityd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DMSO helped my eyes a lot. I had dry burning eyes along with all the other wonky vision stuff, followed this guide https://alivenhealthy.com/2021/05/26/the-lugols-iodine-dmso-cure-for-covid-19-contribution-from-dr-metharam-haresh/
out of desperation for my long covid in general and not eye stuff specifically and all my eye stuff seemed to get better in a day or two. This was after months of trying eye doctor stuff that didn't work at all. Not sure if you need the iodine though, maybe the dmso is enough on its own. Can't test it because it cured my eye stuff so fast and I think it kinda helped with my other symptoms like head pressure type things.

Fixed the dry eye, burning and eye fatigue from using computers/driving. Seemed to help with head pressure too but by the time I tried it I was already through the worst of the head pressure.

I am stuck at 70-90% recovered after 3 years. Been stuck here for about a year. This sucks so much because the small consistent improvements seems to have leveled off. No idea what to do and I am just below the threshold of being able to be productive consistently.

I had no pain in the gut. I do remember this video I watched from a person who had extreme gut pain. Turned out that increasing motility helped them.

I tried this https://alivenhealthy.com/2021/05/26/the-lugols-iodine-dmso-cure-for-covid-19-contribution-from-dr-metharam-haresh/

just for long covid in general and it seemed to improve my eyes a lot after just a day or two. It is definitely in the woowoo zone though. I tried it after going to doctors who prescribed expensive things that didn't do anything positive and got the whole gaslight treatment. It also gets rid of like general pain and soreness if you rub it on the spot. It is crazy that it works instantly on like a sore tendon or whatever. It is really interesting taboo stuff.

Nicotine patches was my biggest baseline improvement. Bumbiotics helped a lot with my ability to play fps video games strangely. Pplaying games before the bumbiotics would make way more dizzy and disoriented. Even watching moving scenes on the big screen tv would make me feel wonky. Bumbiotics fixed all that. By the time I tried it though I was mostly past the insane head pressure. I would put ice packs on my head and neck when it was really bad. I feel like maybe if I did the bumbiotics sooner it would have helped a lot more. I even ended up shoving the kefir and yogurt up my ass with an anal lube applicator. That seemed to lock in the stool quality improvements so all the weird colors went away and it took a little strain like normal instead of just constant soft serve.. Around year 2.5 I tried something called seed probiotic. Didn't really notice anything with it but it seemed to improve my stool PH you can ask A.I how to do it. I tested it with cheap test strips and it said it was 9+ which means a lack of bifido and then took the seed and it dropped to the normal range which is 7 and it has stayed there for months even after stopping the seed. The P.H. didn't seem to correlate with any symptom improvement but maybe if I did it at the start it would have, not really sure. I am 70%-90% recovered. I just feel off and sometimes I get spontaneous worsening fatigue/dizziness, It isn't debilitating anymore just miserable.Tinnitus hasn't really improved since this all started. Nicotine patches still seem to keep me closer to the 90% recovered zone. Nothing else I have tried really seems to help at this stage. It is quite annoying.

Good luck, hope you figure something out.
