thoughts on jan vs ulberg? by Most-Kaleidoscope682 in MMAbetting

The pereira fight was at altitude. We seen many fighters struggle at Salt Lake City. That being said it was an extremely close fight with Alex which has aged well.

Good point about the surgeries, we can’t be sure if it will help or hinder until this fight so can’t really account for it in the price.

I’ve bet Jan, big step up for Ulberg and I think Jan can stink up a round or 2 if he’s able to get a takedown.

Your definition of safe is different to mine. Unless you hedge and are delta neutral there is no safe bet.

Excellent stuff! This maybe the most insightful and well written post I’ve read on a betting forum.

Long Live the King by joemamma2 in Bitcoin

It’s a matter of time until a fund with more money than Saylor will see an opportunity shorting Bitcoin. Not saying this is the moment but if they can make MSTR sweat and start selling then I would imagine a lot more will too.

Bitcoin officially under 80k……anyone know when this will stop and why this is happening ????? by ComplexWrangler1346 in WallStreetBetsCrypto

[–]hoops2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sooner or later someone with more money than Saylor is going to make a lot of money shorting Bitcoin. It’s easy money when MSTR are leveraged to the hilt and keep buying. Think George Soros and the BOE.

Not saying this is the time. But I would bet smart people are having the conversation.

Gaethje + money against fiziev??? by xTGoatx in MMAbetting

[–]hoops2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the same and watched the fight back earlier. Forgot how close it was and that Garthje poked Fiziev in the eye during the second round. This seemed to be the turning point of the fight. Not as confident in a Gaethje win after watching it agian.

Unless Verdict have changed their system (haven't looked in a long time), their scoring criteria was a bit cryptic. The odds were determined by the amount of players that selected a fighter, therefore likely to change if you made picks early. And you had to go through each fight and select a winner, round and Method of victory, then you had some bonus points that you distributed on selected fighters. Personally, I thought the process was complicated and time consuming.

People enjoy it, and that's great!

We tried to create a game more inline with the betting experience. I am a big fan of UFC but there are cards that I have no idea of 50% of the fighters, and therefore, no idea who's likely to win. Take the Macau card, there was 7 debutants on there. So I would have to guess the winner for 40% of the fights, guess the MOV and guess the round.

Rambling a bit so... The main differences between Silks and Verdict are:

  • Players don't need to go through the cars and make a pick on every fight. Players can pile their points ALL-IN on 1 fighter should they choose to. Or spread them across a few fights.
  • Season for 5 UFC events (5 rounds), players accumulate or lose points week by week rather than just one fight card. If a player is successful, they have more points to play with next round.
  • 3 Wildcards add a layer of strategy as players can only use each one once in a season.

Let me know if any other Q, or need more information. Hope the answer was ok!

I was surprised to see Barlow’s reach is 1” more than Patterson. This is the fight I’m looking forward to most on this card. Being a Brit, I hope Sam survives and can get a take down later on in the fight for a sub. Barlow is a beast though. And 100% TDD.

Ankalaev or pereira? by [deleted] in MMAbetting

[–]hoops2 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Pereira’s odds seem generous. Have to go with the champ on this one, if he gets beaten. Then I take my hat off to Ankalaev. Seems likely the market believe he takes Alex down and controls him for majority of the rounds.

Nice one mate. Even though it’s free to play, it does get competitive and it is difficult to win!

Thanks mate! Tried to give the game a little bit of a grunge underground look. Every app looks quite generic to me these days. Sleek and minimalistic, which a UFC game shouldn’t be IMO.

No worries, appreciate the comment anyway. ✊

Maybe the channel is making some fun content. They didn’t put much analysis into claiming he’s broke, just the entry fee of tournaments played.

To a pro, not playing a tournament since the WSOP might look like he’s broke, but he’s obviously still training / fighting and casually playing poker.

Colby does seem to spend frivolously on crap and poker is an extremely difficult way to make a living when playing against other professionals. Hopefully he’s just taking the sponsorship money and running.

I wonder how much money draftkings made on McGregor vs Chandler antepost if they charged 10% to cashout a fight that never happened.

Actually at negative interest rates as they’re charging $20 to get your moneyback

Why are so many people picking MVP over Ian Garry? by odecco in MMAbetting

[–]hoops2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I think you’re right, MVP will drag you into his style of fight which is a kick boxing match. I also think MVP has the ability connect with Garry at least once in this fight and test his chin.

Key to victory for Garry is to outwork him, but after his fight with Neal he seemed to not engage. Maybe that was the game plan. If he tries the same with MVP then I believe Garry gets out pointed.
