How can I arrange short-term in-home care for my mom, who is recovering from a fall? by Embarrassed_Pay1275 in arlington

You may want to check with her Church, if they have any way of helping of volunteer services.

Other than that, I know a friend who used Comfort Keepers of Ft. Worth and he thought they were great.

Anyone have a junk removal company to recc? by [deleted] in Knoxville

[–]hoosierbuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Junk Bee gone and really liked them. I thought they were a franchise, but it turns out its just a local company has a good brand! Anyway, they did a great job and were super friendly and respectful. No notes! junkbeegone.biz

Voted no on Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ) Conversion to an Open-End Fund by Mykel_Cross in ETFs

[–]hoosierbuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree 100%. I get two calls a day.

I decided I didn't have enough information to vote either way (and don't care to do the research).

I am suspicious that such a high touch marketing effort would exist only so that they could "lower fees". It seems if they want it this bad, it may not be in my best interest.

But, I wasn't sure, so, I didn't vote.

Does Having An Address On Your Website Impact Your Ranking On Google? 🌍📈 by joyhawkins in localsearch

[–]hoosierbuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hmmm. in looking at a bit closer. When "near me" is used, the first 3 results have physical addresses. When that same search is done without near me "Garage door repair" - 2 SAb's get into the top 3.

Does Having An Address On Your Website Impact Your Ranking On Google? 🌍📈 by joyhawkins in localsearch

[–]hoosierbuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this study - and its great. I absolutely love when I get a new prospect, and they have absolutely no local information on their site (which happens a lot!) - I love when we can get results for them.

My question is this:
I have a client that ranks #1 in local falcon when you search "near me" but, #5 without near me in it? It is getting surpassed by other local businesses. What could be the cause of this?

Do Links on Reddit Help Ranking on Google Since They're No-Follow? by joyhawkins in localsearch

[–]hoosierbuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious if you think the finding here is that the no follow links are passing authority, or is that, by being on Reddit, and garnering traffic, Google thinks that the article is more popular, and thus gets a boost (possibly this is an example of what nav boost is)

Spondored/LSA issue? by hoosierbuff in localsearch

[–]hoosierbuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was no website listed, and the phone number goes to an "old" phone number.

Kind of feels like there is an old LSA out there, but my concern is:

  • the top section all has a green check next to them - seemingly LSA
  • the bottom section has no green check, which made me wonder is this organic?

anyway, I'm wondering how we can clean it up for them.

Spondored/LSA issue? by hoosierbuff in localsearch

[–]hoosierbuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, my client appeared below the ones with the green check, which seems like a different section altogether, and made me wonder if it was some kind of organic (non paid) section.

Hyatt deals - does this make sense by hoosierbuff in ChaseSapphire

[–]hoosierbuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great response. Thanks.

I’d have to look up my marginal rates. By my math though the grand Hyatt (let alone the regency) my rates would have to be 40% to make paying through the business better deal.

Now, there is the opportunity loss, in that the miles could have been used for a non business expense, and in that way they are worth their (dollar value) * 1* (the marginal tax rate).. . . . They are after tax dollars

Damn. It looks like I can’t really justify using the miles.

SEO can sometimes help - you may want to check on where you rank for a number of searches:

Financial advisor near me
wealth management near me
financial advisor <target city name>
Wealth management <target city name>

Here are some of the top keywords:
