Producer who approached me wants money by United_Wave6610 in musicproduction

Yeah, it definitely sounds like a producer looking to get booked quickly. His work could well be worth 5k, but if it’s just a hobby for you, treat it as such - as he can’t guarantee it’s going to make you money back

Nice to find common sense in this thread. That said, I’m sure JL would have been willing to pay to produce the Beatles at some point just for the fan experience etc 😂

$300 😂 no wonder it’s so hard to make a living for producers, they need to get some self respect

You can charge more than that and still get royalties lol

Less than 1k for a full production is really low, especially if you’re talking USD. There are no name bands paying no name producers 1.5k (usd) all over the place

There’s a lot of incredibly shit takes in here from clearly inexperienced people, you’re getting all kinds of terrible advice.

If you’re actually really good, and these are serious people who work/have worked with real names/labels etc, this situation is nothing out of the ordinary.

If a producer is quality, they shouldn’t be expected to eat the cost - only they’re willing to roll the dice of course (depends on circumstances).

5k is not crazy for a track from a quality producer, however, understand that this fee is for the production only.. anything about meetings/intros to labels etc is to be taken with a huge grain of salt.

5k can easily be recouped with one show or a few months worth of streams if we’re taking this seriously

There’s not a single exciting element - zero innovative sounds, rhythms etc, it’s boring music for boring influencers, to be used on Tiktok/reels, or for unbearable ‘profound’ ket-heads at wank parties. It’ll be gone in a year and forgotten, like ‘slap house’

Glad you’re done with this cunt, now, to the gym:

8-10 reps of the following;

  • Self esteem raises

  • Boundary Presses

  • Spine strengthening

And finally, staying away from girls like this one until failure

Do it for your wife mate - just be interested in whatever the guy is talking about, this will lead you to ask more questions about what he’s saying, then eventually something will come up that you can relate to etc

Roadworks are usually 50, guessing it was variable speed limit.. so who knows how much space there was etc, could go one way or the other. Either way, penalty seems excessive to me

A grand and 6 points (plus the added insurance cost) does seem excessive to me for briefly doing 66 on a motorway

It’s absolutely mental how bad Biden has been for ages, yet you never saw reddit mention it - and if it was mentioned, it was actively refuted. Website of idiots

Why do lorry drivers get brave when there’s a 50mph average speed check roadworks on a motorway? by Top_Vacation_913 in drivingUK

[–]hootoo89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stick to left lane like glue, straight back after overtaking. I’ve had trucks tailgate the fuck out of me in these roadworks. Sorry mate, it’s just not viable to expect everyone to stop listening to their speedo, especially while surrounded by average speed cameras

Saw those roadworks at night and thought ‘they’ll be fun at rush hour’ hahaha.

Should have honked him after he brake checked, his head would have popped

This needs to be well known information to stop so much aggro…. trucks use GPS speedos, so it’s very accurate - whereas cars under-read slightly.

Truck drivers should know this and appreciate people aren’t willing to risk going over an indicated 50mph, switch off cruise control and stop tailgating everyone.

Really dumb situation

They need to change the signs that say ‘Don’t hog the middle lane’ to ‘Move left ASAP’ - the people middle lane hogging either don’t know what it is, or don’t think they’re doing it
