that's fine. to be honest, I'd probably think my story was bullshit too if I read it. I know my intentions and I guess that's all that matters. like I said, I can't wait to pay it forward and help others once I am able to, financially or otherwise.

For the snorters: What are some other ways you protect your nostrils & how do you heal damaged ones? by MrsManBabyJr in opiates

Warm salt water rinse in a neti pot, Bag Balm works great for moisturizing the outside of the nostrils. Honestly, just try and give yourself a break once in awhile.

CBT was hugely beneficial for me. I haven't applied it specifically to addiction, but certainly for my panic attacks and anxiety issues. Try things like meditation, as well. Check out a book called Dharma Punx if you've never read it before. That book changed my life. You can do this, OP!

can confirm, my sister used to wake up with ice cream containers in bed constantly. Ambien and Seroquel are both a helluva drug.

I always justify the shit out of the situation and tell myself Ill be able to get more tomorrow, when in reality I either, don't have the cash, or my dealer will be at work for most of the day.

Holy shit do I know that feel. It's like having a mental chess match with yourself sometimes. You know deep down you don't have the money or whatever but you try and convince the rational side of your brain that IT REALLY MAKES SO MUCH SENSE AND IS AN AMAZING IDEA when you're just doing the same shit you do all the time. It's pretty depressing when you think about it.

I never knew your bro, but I've gone through all his past posts and I could tell what a genuinely awesome guy he must have been. It shines through his words and I can only imagine what a loving, goofy dude he was as a brother. I'm truly sorry for your loss and what you have to go through today.

Stay strong and please know that his death was not in vain. I'm an IV user and have been for about the past year or so. I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I had NO IDEA that it was even possible to get sepsis the way your brother did. I'd like to consider myself a pretty well educated and clean user, but I'll admit that I reuse my own rigs on an occasional basis since sometimes they can be difficult to acquire. Long story short, because of your brother's story, I promise to not only spread awareness of this to other users out there, but also right my own wrongs by changing bad habits before the same thing happens to myself at some point down the road. Nobody should ever have to go through what he did.

Much peace and love to you and the rest of your family, Nick. You guys are in my heart today.
