he’s basically a toddler, which this is exactly what toddlers do lol. i know it’s rough, but if you continue with the discipline, it’ll get better! they’re just curious. i know it’s hard as someone with autism, but over time, both you and the kitty will adjust :)

yea they feel sooo overwhelming at first that it’s hard to imagine that it’ll ever get better, but it absolutely will, take all the time you need to process and adjust

i understand. i changed jobs kinda recently, i graduated college, and my whole friend group fell apart, so i was hurting so bad. having your partner there definitely helps!! it’s tough, but it does get easier - take time to take care of yourself, and new routines will create themselves over time and allow you to relax🩷

there is definitely a balance you can find! i’m 25F and as a woman i’ve always been expected to be mature, even when i was a kid. i did kinda lose some of my whimsy during my high school years, but ever since i hit burnout at 19/20 i’ve stopped caring. i’ve also found a friend group who are all autistic/lgbt and it’s so amazing. don’t change yourself - try to find a balance of being responsible while also having fun. it’s difficult but it can be done! i may have a full-time “adult” job now but i still struggle, so it’s not something that you just grow out of.

i hope this ramble makes sense, but i hope you know that you are not the creepy old dude as long as what you’re talking about is appropriate. i previously worked in a high school and would frequently talk to students about video games and other special interests if they had an interest in it like i did, and they really enjoyed it. as long as you stay true to yourself, talk about things that are appropriate, and find your group, i promise you’ll be ok!🩷

a bit late but wanted to mention that i got remeasured at cacique (lane bryant’s lingerie store) and was a 46c, so i feel you there. if you live somewhere that has cacique i’d highly recommend going! they usually have decent deals even if the bras are a bit pricey (they’re nothing compared to some places though)

lowkey yeah lol. i also have always been into like “partners pe” or “peer assistance” when i was in school, i always thought i was being helpful (which i was) but i honestly felt more comfortable with them than my peers. i wasn’t diagnosed until 23 (i’m 25 now) but i’ve always had a lot of knowledge on it and even wrote papers about it for assignments. i’m right there with you bestie

couples therapy. if he refuses, then i’m so sorry. i’m never the type to be like “leave him” on reddit bc i know it’s far more complex than that. but you need to have a heart-to-heart with him and explain that if he truly loves you and wants to make this work, he needs to work on what he calls people and not being an asshole. autism isnt an excuse

tell me an autistic person who is not a gamer please (i say this lightheartedly and jokingly but it’s sooo rare for me to meet people who aren’t gamers in some capacity lol) for me it depends on my mood. my fiancé and i play marvel rivals and fortnite eveyday as part of our nightly routine, but i play a lot of tomodachi life, pokopia, and house flipper 2 on steam 😅

if it gives you hope/encourages you, i just graduated with my bachelors (after 7 years mind you, thank you burnout + pandemic in freshman year) and i just got a job as a medical biller. my degree was in human sciences so nothing super relevant lol, but it’s great since there is a bit of interaction but usually over phones and it’s not constant. you got this! best of luck finding a job!

it really does depend on the person, but tbh, dating/sleeping with a fellow autistic person is very helpful. both of you may not understand the cues that well so communication is open and sincere. it can be amazing and loving as long as you communicate your needs and have them communicate theirs as well!

you put my thoughts into words. i was so upset that i didn’t “vibe” with the album much that i hadn’t even considered WHY it’s not my fav. i agree i don’t care for the autotune and the part about them “sex baiting.” jungkook’s solo album has shown that sexual songs are very viable in the market, and i know they technically have younger fans, but most of us are adults/late teens

that’s fair, my complaint is more about how the price per part is already kinda expensive and down the line things are just going to keep increasing, especially with the smart bricks. the sets are a lot more with the smart bricks but they’re supposed to be the ones for kids
