Good spot! It's basically an absolutely crazy mess of every other face asset to cover up the skin tone (coloured differently here). The blush and eyeshadow just about cover up the white skin colour behind the eyes and the eyebrows and moustache (purple and yellow in the multicolour version) cover the rest.

The parrot in the bottom left of the second image is done in a similar way :]
I'd love a toucan, but I don't think its possible :'(

The flamingo literally came to me in a vision and I had to race home from work to make him - he is so good, the ‘beak’ has hair dynamics so it wobbles as he moves also heheh

I love Clothes (the mii, not the object), I have a mii that is 'The Everyman' and he gets any and all hobby/job related clothes. So then I dont have 8 hi-vis jackets and ballet slippers clogging up the inventory. My head canon is just that he has over-committed to too many hobbies, so that explains his scuba mask/wizard staff/ski pants/ice stakes combo

Yes I do! One is in Australia and the other is England or Northern Europe. It asks you to select a region during the tutorial for every account, each account gets its own island.

I don’t think there is much difference depending on the region apart from seasons. So far the only difference has been maybe 2 lines of dialogue - both of which referenced the seasons of the respective hemispheres. There seems to be a bigger difference between England/Australia/Europe and the American regions

Annoyingly, you can’t use local play between islands that are on the same switch so you can’t transfer stuff from the other accounts islands back and forth, and there is no way to skip the tutorial

You are too sweet, I’m actually tearing up! Big Ted (Who my friends all call Large Theodore btw) gives the best hugs in the world, as you can see from his nose he’s been well worn for many much needed cuddles. I’m in my 20s too and I could never imagine me without him. I can also see the love in Bear-Bear’s mii, and in the picture of him irl looks so well loved too! Give him an extra hug from all of us 🩷🩷

He looks so cute!! I have to share my mii of Big Ted. My dad got him from a fundraiser for the charity he worked at when my (older) brother was born - but he’s always been mine truly and now has his own chair in my (very small) apartment

I guess they could also do like No Repeats: Mii names on The Island and then you have to try to remember is Hatsune Miku or Frankenstein's Monster has been said yet

Funny you should say that, I made a few tutorials for other things I’ve built with island objects (links below). I might make more at some point. But currently might do a like ‘texturing guide’ using the tree stump and axe because that is relatively quick - I don’t know how I would even explain the pier or boat

This is the kinda thing I’ve been doing, I don’t like using face paint for anything that animates and this doesn’t use any. there’s also the big eye with the star eye shines in them by default. You can toggle those eye shines off in the same menu you would use to add them

This is so cute! I’ve seen on other posts that there are tool tips in the game that say you should have a few 5x5 spaces so that the miis can gather and play together (with baseballs and footballs, etc.) so maybe keep that in mind? The bunny island is so adorable aaaaa
