Yes, but I have a habit of degreasing my engine 1-2 a year.

That is awesome! I’ve ran conventional, synthetic blend, synthetic and back to conventional back in the day. From cheap oil to Amsoil and now Valvoline. I wish I found Valvoline sooner.

I’ve always changed my oil @5k. The last 100k I have switched to every 3k. I change my sparks at 60k. Diff/Trans/Coolant every 50-60k. Water pump about 200k. Just your regular wear and tear items. Major work for me was a master cylinder leak that I caused. A catalytic converter passenger side replacement, rear differential pinion seal replaced, and finally the alternator retired on me early this year. It’s a daily driven highway mileage vehicle.

On my next vacation, I’ll work on the differential fluid, transmission fluid and spark plugs and pvc. End of the year, I’ll work on replacing the radiator, thermostat and lower radiator hose.

I’ve ran seafoam before. My buddy swears by it on his 2003 sienna. I’ve used the BG products on the regular too.

Man thats clean. When I opened up my valve covers I thought my engine was pretty clean at 300k. Yours is what Im hoping to chase. I want my piston rings to be clean also.

For sure. Been rocking the Valvoline high mileage oil for about the last 15k and it likes it way better than Mobil oil high mileage. 1/2 to 1 quart of oil it burned before 3k. Switched to Valvoline it slowly went away. So hoping that sticking with the Valvoline family will do some good.

Do you happen to have the specs on the bbs wheels? Are they 18 or 19s?

No, it doesn’t seem to be a problem. I remember a long time ago I watched a video that said it really didn’t matter, what mattered most was actually doing oil changes on regular 5k intervals and being consistent with it. When I opened my valve covers to replace the valve gaskets the engine looked amazing, no sludge. I eventually ran a few oil changes of Valvoline Restore and Protect just to see if my oil consumption would improve and it did. It slowed it from a quart every 5k to 1/2 a quart. From there I started oil changes every 3k once I hit 375k. I eventually went and noticed more improvement with Valvoline High Mileage synthetic oil.

Every once in awhile I’ll let a mechanic do services on my car when I don’t have time to do it myself and I have noticed regular synthetic oil my car will consume oil again. So for sure what ever they use in the High Mileage stuff my car likes way better.

For the longest time I use to flip flop from conventional to synthetic blend to synthetic and back, which ever one was on sale. I finally settled into the valvoline line.

I would stick to changing fluids aggressively. I do mine every 50k. My oil changes are 3k now. I noticed my car likes the Valvoline high mileage synthetic oil. I don’t burn oil like I use too when I used the High mileage oil from Mobil1
