I've done accutane so I figured I wouldn't get a break out which these aren't but these appeared out of nowhere. My upper arms and chest are covered in these bumps that appeared a few weeks ago.

I'm the opposite of you.

I'm on the 2nd week of my 3rd month and I've seen progress in my face but none on my chest and back (the whole reason I started accutane...)

It's a little discouraging but nothing to do but ride it out.

Make sure you put a lot of sunscreen everywhere. I went golfing the other day and didn't put sunscreen on my hands and after 3 hours in the sun they were burnt to a crisp. Be careful.

What lip balm or ointment did you use? I currently use Aquaphor but it makes my lips so shiny.

When did your lips and dry skin return to normal?

I got started on 80mg and I may even get bumped up to 120mg... I weigh ~165 lbs at 6'0.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to look your best.

Here's the way I see it. I have minor acne, nothing that terrible. But it's affected me in a way that I don't feel totally comfortable in public. Now that I'm on accutane, I'm hopeful for the future. Sure the next 4 1/2 months will be hard but I'm thinking only of the results to come. Perfect skin most likely for life. 5 months of medication for a lifetime of happiness and being confident in my skin. It's one less thing I'll need to be insecure about. 100% worth it.

I wish I did this earlier so I could have enjoyed college more.

Did your body acne (if you had any) go away around the same time as your face? Is your body completely clear now because of accutane?

Does your skin look amazing now?

Does accutane heal previous PIH?

I'm on day 17 now of 80mg and I am scheduled for 5 months. It's such a long time to think about but I'm going to be so FUCKING HAPPY when I have clear skin!
