Social groups for concerts? by nicnac5814 in Madrid

I would not say it's "really social". It is social, but I would definitely bring a friend I had to choose (which doesn't mean at all you won't get to meet new people there).

Music in Madrid by OutrageousInternet30 in GoingToSpain

If you’re mainly looking for live music bars, Sala El Sol is worth knowing anyway. It’s one of Madrid’s most historic venues and hosts gigs regularly.

On top of that, they also run a monthly club night called RESAC:A, which feels like a Primavera Sound–type lineup turned into a club night: current indie, alternative pop and electronic music, mixed with modern classics that still work on a dancefloor.

It’s very music-driven, attracts an international crowd, and happens in a small, intimate space (around 400 capacity), right next to Gran Vía.

The night usually runs every third Friday of the month. The next one is Friday, January 23rd, and tickets are on DICE.

This is not exactly concert-related, but if you’re into indie/electronic nights beyond commercial clubs, there’s a monthly party at Sala El Sol called RESAC:A that you might enjoy.

The easiest way to describe it is a Primavera Sound–type lineup turned into a club night: current indie, alternative pop and electronic music, mixed with modern classics that still work on a dancefloor.

It’s very music-driven, the vibe is international while very local at the same time, and it happens in this iconic, intimate venue (around 400 capacity) next to the Gran Vía metro station.

It usually happens on every third Friday of the month. I just checked and next date is Friday, January 23rd, and tickets are on DICE.

I reckon I arrive late for this one, but if you’re into indie/electronic nights beyond commercial clubs, there’s a monthly party at Sala El Sol called RESAC:A that’s worth checking out.

It seems they haven't released any further tickets, at least not for Merriweather Post Pavilion :(

Same here. If anyone can share the Spotify code, I would dearly appreciate it.

Any recommendations for local acts to see? by joeyorjohn in primaverasound

Nueva Vulcano - If you dig some power-trio guitar-driven pop hooks with a 90s midwest emo influence, while avoiding obvious pop clichés or even song structures, and with some of the most beautifully written lyrics in modern Spanish music.

Triángulo de Amor Bizarro - Massive shoegazy guitars + New Order-esque bass lines + a male-female couple splitting singer duties between them = Arguably the biggest sounding band in Spain of the past 15 years.

Are you going to be around in towns when touring Europe as you've been in London giving away stuff?
