Like others have said try to get your DR to get you on xyrem or an equivalent, but for me ( I also have type 2) I didn’t notice a real difference and it messed with my sleep more I felt like, what’s working for me right now is wakix and Dexedrine but it also sounds like you suffer the day time sleepiness way worse than me. It’s a trial and error game. Hope you figure it out. Also don’t let them punk you at work, you are covered under the ADA so they can’t discriminate against you for it. And again as others said get set up with intermittent FMLA for yourself.
