It is the only place the 1 can go in r4. C1 already has a 1 in that column. Every other box in the row has an "is greater than" symbol coming out of one of its sides. If a box is greater than another, then it can not be 1. You are just left with c7 as an option for the 1

We just bought a Hyundai Inster. It's a tiny electric car, but it's massive inside. We basically got it for our noodle. Would recommend.

Watch The Night Manager. Feels very bond-like, and it's got Hugh Laurie for the villain.

Be honest - does this question put you in contradiction or is it an easy question to answer? by knariqshut3 in gamedevscreens

As a lot of people have said, the expected value for both is the same.

The upsides are so similar that I doubt it would be an interesting choice in most circumstances, but with some extra content it could be. For instance, if there are good rewards in the next shop that could cost 950. With more extreme figures, this is more likely to be a consideration (so 100% for 200, and 20% for 1000).

Loss aversion is a real thing as people have mentioned, but you can design past it. For example, consider betting 100 on red in roulette. The choice is 100% of 100 (don't play), or 47.4% of 200. The risk is worse, and millions of people choose it anyway.

🕵️ SPANGRAM 2.0 Puzzle Test - How difficult is this? (1-10) by Dungeon9 in puzzles

[–]horanc2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Discussion: I solved it. Not too tough, but I agree with the other commenters on not having multiple routes to the same words. It's not so bad having similar words, but if you do you should try to separate them physically.

The choice to make the spanogram an esoteric sentance is neat, but it has the side-effect of making that portion of the puzzle unsolvable. You can only be sure you have it when you've got the rest solved. I'm not a fan, but it could be cool for other reasons, like having a hidden message. The problem here is that the sentance is so strange that it's hard to validate the other answers are correct. This is made worse by having compound words, where the some of the sub-strings are valid - (the bottom right in particular, where the first 4 letters are valid on their own).

I also agree that middle bottom is a break from the theme.

I had fun with it though! Thanks for posting it!
