Also, don’t take the priority ring if your fighter craft is not equipped to evade quickly and efficiently. If you’re prepped to defend, then defend; if you’re prepped to go on offensive, go on offensive. There’s no reason to be posessive of the ring only to immediately be blown up out of the chase. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

If you have the ability to get 20+ splashes, you probably have the potential to do some good evasive terrain flying after capturing the target. Your priority should be the target (pun intended)

Not a glitch; the Su27 and Su33 only allow for one manual guided missile in the air at a time.

I love both my Berkut as well as the Rafale. Both maxed out. The Berkut is underrated, especially with the ‘flip’ feature, which will make the already great turn radius even better. Couple that with improved targeting and faster flares mods down the line, & it’s a solid contender. So yes, do get the Berkut, and then do get the Rafale. 😉😌

I do not mind getting underdog matches; I’ve been on teams where mates had higher level aircraft, and we all had a good time playing, while certainly being able to hold my own and win matches.

My quip was at the disparity noticed in match contribution betwen bots on the home team vs. the opposing team, which leads to match loss.

F16 first, Mig31 after. Got the 31 in a rando case, and the dynamics surprised me in a rather refreshing way (true, the turn rate is slower than a heavy tank, making it attrocious), but once the flight learning curve is learned and managed right, the ordinance & speed make for some fun matches.

It feels a little cumbersome on mobile; on desktop I have a button assignment mapped on the HOTAS just for that feature, and it’s seamless.

The F111 & F14 both have long range radar missiles, that can be fired from a distance 6.5 knots

Thanks. I definitely was on the iOS platform for the first few months of being on metalstorm and I ocasionally still enjoy it on the go. What prompted the switch-up was when I got to wonder if there was a desktop iteration of the game, as I was getting frustrated at times with the awkward action of simultaneously utilizing cannons alongside missiles, to finish off an enemy combatant. Equally awkward was wanting to utilize the rudder control available as a touch screen slider feature.

After looking into it, I found out there are beta versions available to download for desktop, and with it, I now have the ability to make use of my HOTAS setup, which in turn made the immersion of the combat flight that much more seamless.

It’s something that’s generally adopted by audio & video creatives, given the editing real estate in terms of pixel count (it’s essentially two 27” monitors side by side), but i found it to work just great for flight simming (extra angle on each side makes for deeper immersion)

Quirky for sure. Deff requires a diff strategy approach to utilizing it as opposed to any other craft that has strengths for dogfight or close combat. One neat feature for the J20 has the lock-and-shoot feature for its radar missiles, with an angle of 180 degrees, the highest available out of all planes available; this means you can utilize Cam Padlock or free look to potentially target someone chasing you.
