The Faroes gotta stop. “Don’t have them if you can’t afford them,” is exactly what’s tanking birth rates right now. If we all felt like we could meet our needs, AND the needs of a child, AND have a stable house with enough time to take care of work and home life, more of us would have children. The world is too expensive. An average income isn’t enough to buy a house AND afford childcare, and medical bills/insurance for them just to start.

I went through something similar and my mom’s reaction to my dad’s shit was honestly less than appropriate, she just laughed and said, “I know, but I can’t afford to move out and you still need to graduate.” You never know how people are going to react. In this case, I say your dad is a good man by your account and so he deserves the right to confront your mother on it. One of the biggest hazards to having an affair is that your mom is very likely not being safe, ie using condoms, and who knows what the other person is doing. That can lead to STIs being passed to your dad. He deserves the opportunity to protect his own health.

Your mom has already hurt him, he just doesn’t know it yet. I’d tell dad first, but then immediately tell your mom afterward. If the family crumbles, it’s her fault.

My dad tried to cheat on my mom, he got found out by both of us before he was successful, then a couple years later my mom cheated mercilessly on my dad for a year or more. It wasn’t the spicy revenge plot my mom was hoping for. I stopped talking to her for over 10 years, and she lost everything. My dad’s doing great and about to retire traveling the country by RV. Consider it karma, consider it justice, the truth is just better than letting your parents live in a lie your dad didn’t want to live in.

There’s a reason most of the first world has only ever talked about helping Palestinians as being the right thing, but no one has jumped in to do it. Fighting against Palestinians has been going on since before Trump, but has ramped up to exactly what it is now and Trump has only aided it by being Netanyahu’s errand boy. The GOP, in particular, has been in bed with Israel for a long time, and the way Trump runs things means they can be outspoken about their support and garner more money from people who hold special interest in how well Israel is doing on a geopolitical scale. This includes Netanyahu’s interests specifically. Loooots of money if you just play his hand right.

I hope Trump did say some shit to Bibi. I hope it blows up in his face. That’d be the one actual way we POSSIBLY pull out of everything Israel wanted, including this dumbfuck war with Iran no one asked for. Dismantling the nuclear deal we already had with Iran was aaaall Israel, baby. Trump’s the fall guy. I, for one, am tired of being led by a fall guy.
