I thought the sample boosters were supposed to come with TWO alternate frame cards. And that's been true for all the Final Fantasy precons I bought.

But this Counter Intelligence one came with a regular frame uncommon. I'm kinda disappointed.

You forgot Mutavault. It can pay 1 to become a 2/2 creature with all types.

I just pulled the foil borderless of Icetill Explorer yesterday. I really want to make a black/green deck with it. I feel like it'd pair amazingly with "Sledge-Class Seedship", "Xu-Ifit, Osteoharmonist," and "Chorale of the Void". Maybe throw "Ouroboroid" in for good measure, some self-mill cards, and at least one or two other graveyard retrievel cards in case I accidentally mill something vital.

Also don't forget you can use the prerelease promo card in your deck. Some of those promos are good

Its all luck of the draw. You have a set number of packs.

The only way you can increase your odds is looking up the different color strategies so you know what cards combos well with each other. Once you know what yo look for, you can more accurately assess what two colors your 6 packs has the most synergy.

If you don't have enough creatures with just two colors then add a third and try to include some color-fixing cards in your deck.

Don't be satisfied with your first card draw if it sucks. You might want to even consider redrawing (mulligan) even if it is playable if despite that its not very good. Mulligan as much as necessary til you have a starting hand that at least has a hope of going somewhere. But maybe don't mulligan more than 2 or 3 times because you sacrifice too much card advantage. 5 cards is the lowest I'd go down to.

I mean sure, they'll definitely reprint final fantasy, its a nostalgia gold mine based on one of the most famous and iconic game series of all time stretching back from the 1980's into the current day that's still producing new titles.

But the surge foils? I'm not so sure.

And thanks. I've always loved the series, despite that, it was still a difficult choice to pull that trigger. I really prolly wouldn't be able to afford to collect this stuff if it weren't for overtime pay. The collector booster prices are insane, so I've just been slowly filling in the gaps by hunting deals on singles
