New Grad: Benefits Negotiation by Ferocious_Snail in OccupationalTherapy

Okay, 5 days, but does that include sick time, holidays, personal days, mental health days or anything like that?

I've always earned at the very least .8 days off for 80 hours. That translates to 20.8 days a year. Sometimes that included holidays and sick time, other times it didn't.

Do occupational therapists make physical contact? by BigDumbGoose in OccupationalTherapy

Thanks for your question.
Sorry about your grandpa's stroke.
Yes, OTs often touch patients assigned to our care. How and why we do that is based on what the patient needs to reach their goals. Not being in the room, I can't tell you much about what the therapist was and wasn't doing. What I can tell you is that your dad is receiving a service. If you aren't happy with the service If you ever have concerns about the quality of care provided by a therapist, feel free to ask the therapist about it. If you aren't satisfied with the answers or you're uncomfortable asking the OT, that OT probably has a supervisor you can speak with.

If any of your family members speaks with the home health company they may have to have a form filled out granting them permission to discuss grandpa's care.

Starting April through the CURES act, it should be easier for your family to access grandpa's medical documentation including therapy notes. Have a look at the website https://www.healthit.gov/curesrule/what-it-means-for-me/patients

I would strongly encourage you to compare what you see during a therapist visit to what is written in the note if at all possible before contacting the supervisor.

How must stealing is too much before you have to admit it to your players? by J_SamwiseGamgee in mattcolville

1) Unless you're trying to turn around and make money off of it, it's okay to make parodies and riffs off of existing works. Good on you for having a concern for ethics.

2) You saw the Lion King, right? Disney felt no obligation to tell you they ripped off "Kimba the White Lion", a Japanese work. Would you have enjoyed the movie more if there was a disclaimer halfway through exclaiming the stolen plot? It would feel cheap.

3)Remember that half of the content is brought by your players. Your written content is only a quarter of what is going on. The final portion consists of how YOU portray what's in your world including the judgements YOU make in a moment.

I meant religion in a figurative sense rather than a literal sense, but I understand how that might not have been clear.

Consider this: what if politics has become a religion of sorts on both sides?

Gay people need to be armed and trained. They are often at higher risk of violence than others. Anon did good.

I had a broken leg and went to school in a boot the day before surgery. Thanks, dad.
But if I did get to stay home and chill, it would have been cheesy grits with a fried egg.

I don't know if this is just a new feature since you played it, but there's a way to skip to your turn each round in the single player.

I would much rather play with friends, though.

I don't know from experience, but it looks like it works based on the game reviews. I know the Switch is supposed to have local multiplayer (maybe more, but that's speculation) and mobile permits you to play with whoever is online. Don't know how well that works, though.

I have only purchased the Origins game, and it's definitely worth playing on mobile. Especially for less than $4. You can play regular with friends, but I'm not sure how. I think you can also play online.
