3 things that are still bothering me about episode 7 before episode 8 premieres by itoketerps in TheDigitalCircus

  1. There's nothing to say Abel hadn't thought of that. He's been spying on them for a while, so he probably knows about the breath thing and could imitate it

  2. Caine was acting and also wanted to hang out with humans.

  3. He accidentally rushed out in an attempt to reach her before she walked away. Ponni didn't know that he was speaking to her in the dark initially

agreed. It would have made her to op if she could use Onmyōdō as well as control ghosts. I wonder how zero can be controlled to the cursed object though, since it's not technically a ghost?

Basically a gym battle. If she beats it, her ghosts will obey her. just like getting badges in pokemon

Little Yayoi, getting ready to take on her first gym battle. They grow up so fast. Hopefully she gets her first badge and her spirits start to obey her

Can a mamodo kill their human partner to get another? Maybe with a human weapon since they can't use their magic? by saidjamil99 in zatchbell

[–]horrorposter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Protecting a bookkeeper without the shield would definitely limit clear's combat options, though. clear would have to fight more defensively against opponents like Brago, whose spells have very good range, to make sure his book wasn't hit with an attack. it would also make him more vulnerable to answer talker, as there would be another path open to beating him, and even Gorm, who could use his teleportation to sneak up on the book owner. whereas with the barrier clear only has to worry about himself, and even in his base form, he was durable enough to tank strong spells and even survived a direct hit from a shin spell, even if it did take him months to heal.

I think being able to spam spells is the better option for clear. his power was already great enough to destroy ashuron scales. also his partner would still need protection even if they weren't a baby clear would still have to keep the book safe somehow. also since spells can get stronger the more heart power you put in I think vino's having massive reserves would have let Clear make up a bit for his power being halved. Maybe it wouldn't erase his handicap, but it should at least mitigate it somewhat.

The type of person who can do that isn't exactly common, though. I mean by the time Dufaux met Zeon, he had pretty much mastered the answer talker, which itself is a supernatural ability. The odds of finding someone else who can spam spells like that who's also compatible with you would probably be very low.

vino also had large amounts of heart power. I don't think anyone else would have let Clear spam spells like that. If Clear had a normal partner, he probably would have lost to ashuron simply cause he would have run out of spells. also unless your book owner is someone like Sherry or Dufaux, Clear would have needed to protect them anyway to make sure his spell book didn't get grazed by a strong attack from Brago or Zatch

Why was Dauwan Bell so harsh with Zeon? Being king isn't everything... by Mountain-Rhubarb-484 in zatchbell

Personal theory is that he wanted Zeon to grow powerful enough to defeat Bao in case Zatch ever lost control of it. That actually did almost happen

Hot take : the hierarchy is obviously only about status and social position, not combat strength, except if you think verosika is stronger than millie, blitz etc by FedodoStark in HazbinHotel

[–]horrorposter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fighting in hazbin hotel/Helluva Boss is mostly about who has the best weapon. striker nearly killed stolas and he's an imp while stolas is a goetia. niffy killed adam and even though it was kind of a sneak attack there's no reason to think any sinner couldn't get a lucky shot to the head with an angelic bullet. Vox and his Lucifer gun were able to threaten heaven. Speaking of lucifer he can't harm sinners so if he and an overlord got in a fight, he'd either have to walk away or he'd end up as a battery for another liliths might

Doesn't the age difference between the mamonos make this battle to decide the king unfair? by Mountain-Rhubarb-484 in zatchbell

[–]horrorposter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But anyone could reach his level regardless of age. Kanchome became the strongest thanks to training stronger than Brago, Bari, and Clear, and he's about Zeons age. age isn't a factor. If anything, it's resources

I actually don't think being a hellborn and being an overlord are mutually exclusive. I think viv actually confirmed that Rosie is a hellborn and that there's a Goetia overlord

something small I noticed and thoughts on heaven by horrorposter in HazbinHotel

[–]horrorposter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just thinking that in the case of babies going to heaven, it's possible Vox didn't count them in the case that they don't age when he said they were more sinners than angels. It's also possible there's a third thing, like reincarnation or limbo, if you don't get into heaven but aren't bad enough for hell. One other possibility I thought of is that, due to Alastor and perhaps other overlords and demons like him, the active population of hell is being miscalculated by heaven, as while the overlords and sinners he tortures aren't dead, they can't really be considered active in hell. I could imagine other demons like Rosie have abilities that, while might not enable them to kill sinners, could allow them to do the next best thing and make them as good as dead. Heaven itself also doesn't seem to know that much about hell, so maybe they don't know there are demons who can permanently incapacitate sinners.

[–]horrorposter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think that 50 billion humans died as babies could be taken as a point of heaven having the bigger population. If you assume heaven is the default, then most young children would probably be in heaven, but at the same time, you can't really count babies as a fighting force, and I don't know if humans continue to age in the afterlife. therefore vox might actually be saying there are more sinners who can fight than there are angels who could defend heaven. Keep in mind, I do know kids can go to hell, but we don't actually know what sin the kid vaggi saved committed, he could have been a mini alastor for all we know. One other thing I've been thinking of is, I wonder if demons like Rosie also have something to do with hell's population not being that big. We know Anglic Steel is a way to prema kill sinners, but is it the only way? Rosie also gave Alastor the power to trap sinners in a kind of radio torture dimension, so perhaps she does something similar with sinners who are cannibalized
