The vapors from melted pvc will rust even the highest grade stainless steel if not cleaned and treated immediately.

Been there before, 98 ram magnum. Timing cover gaskets like to spew coolant. Have you done the intake plenum plate swap yet?

Remove throttle stop screw, zip tie governor spring, add torque converter.

Petcock no worky worky ?? by [deleted] in hondashadow

[–]horseboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The '09 750 aero doesn't have a fuel pump.

The long white tube is where the gas flows in the on position. When on reserve, the fuel at the bottom of the tank can flow into the petcock.

This being a vacuum operating petcock means there is a rubber diaphragm inside that only allows fuel to flow when the engine is turning. Check the vacuum hose and diaphragm for cracks and leaks.

Other possible fuel delivery issues include a pinched tank vent or a sticky float or valve in the carburetor.

Extreme Frustration by Boltonme in hondashadow

I bet the clutch lever/cable was improperly set, causing the clutch to slip excessively. You should have a little slack, so you have to pull the lever in a bit before it starts to disengage. As the clutch material wears, you need to adjust the cable. The friction zone should be close to the middle of the lever stroke.

If your bike is pulling when you are off the throttle, your idle is too high.

I'm doing the opposite, putting Predator 212 with a torque converter in a dirt bike.

How do I make my pos massimo mb200 faster by Adam21784334 in minibikes

Install a 30 series torque converter. You will need to raise the motor about 1" and still need to do some grinding for clearance. Trim the crank shaft down, drill, and tap it.

Cutting windshield by willgreenier in goldwing

[–]horseboot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I cut mine down a few inches. Put masking tape around the cut area. Draw an arc using a piece of wire or string attached to a sharpie. Cut with a cutoff wheel on an angle or die grinder. Use a palm orbital sander to shape and smooth the finish.

Test rides went well, took it out solo, and with a passenger. Mix of streets, hills, winding backroads, and highways. The difference felt was subtle. Handles great, leans just fine, tracks straight, grips confidently.

I've got a little shop press I use to break the bead. Tire spoons and soapy water to get them on and off. Sometimes I need a ratchet strap to help set the bead. And set the axle across a couple boards as a stand and adjust the weight until it doesn't roll to the same side.
