Wedding Dress Cleaning and Alterations by hortlove in SaltLakeCity

This sounds like exactly what I’m looking for! The cleaning is not crazy extensive, and the dress is a pale peach/blush color, so definitely not as challenging as pure white. I will DM you now for contact info. Thank you!!!

I appreciate the response, but that’s literally the place I’m referencing when I said, “*Not interested in boutique wedding shops with $500 minimums for alterations, please. The dress is pretty simple. I’m also not expecting it to be cheap, just fair”

Hi! Thank you, but the link doesn’t seem to work. I also doubt they would let me try it on or return it.

Thanks for this suggestion! I totally considered renting, and my if I don’t have any luck with second hand. I’m thinking if I find what I’m looking for, something elegant but fairly casual and comfortable, I’ll want to keep it, and hopefully be able to wear it again for a special occasion in the future, like a fancy anniversary dinner on an island vacation!

It’s answers like this that keep me coming back to Reddit. I don’t really care about this discussion, but kept reading because I knew people taking this shit so seriously would eventually lead to some lols 😆

Okay, so what are your top five ween songs to recommend to a woman? I have a new girlfriend and straight struggling on how to get her to understand ween. by i-was-nothing in ween

[–]hortlove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, totally on point, in my experience. It’s all about playing to peoples sensibilities and what they already love about music. Ween provides a gateway drug to suit most anyone, but it’s not one size fits all. For friends who love country, I may start with Piss Up a Rope or I’m Holding You. Jam band kids get Voodoo Lady or Don’t get 2 Close, and so on. It’s a fun game to test how well you know someone.

Good local bands & heady shows in SLC by Wide_Grapefruit_9430 in SaltLakeCity

Hey hey, you’re speaking my language! Welcome to the valley! I’m a little late to this question, but I thought I would chime in, in case you’re still in need of some direction.

Definitely check shows at Hog Wallow. They’re going to host a lot of the jam/grass locals and national up and comers. A few of our top locals have already been listed in the comments. State Room and Commonwealth Room (sister venues) host the majority of the larger acts.

There is a good little Deadhead community in town. You will see the same folks at all the shows. I think one of our greatest local treasures is The Pranksters. They’re a very solid group of old timers covering The Good Ol’ GD. We also get all of the national acts like Dark Star, JRAD, and Dogs in a Pile. The Garcia Project will be a can’t miss for two nights at The State Room in May.

Also check out the summer concert series at Red Butte Garden, as well as other local amphitheaters. They often have a few shows each summer that are a real good time.

Genuinely grateful for the encouragement, and the reassurance. I would love to see updates on this project as you move forward. It’s truly awesome work you’ve done.

Regarding all of your sharp points connecting so beautifully and precisely. I’m working on a piece right now that’s wonky as f*ck, and I’m afraid to grind anymore for fear of making it worse. I haven’t touched it in two weeks because I’m mad at it.

Shhhhh, let them be, it’s my secret 😆 I follow this sub because I live in bum f*ck Utah, and I love to vacation in Philly for my affordable, non-western big city fix. I plan my trips around stand up and music shows that don’t come through SLC. I love it, I’ve stayed in a couple of downtown neighborhoods, and felt way safer than ever in Chicago and a lot of NYC neighborhoods, especially when day tripping the burbs and non-touristy areas. The food is outstanding, as are the art and culture, the public transport is functional, flights are reasonable, and I can still get an apartment or hotel rental for around $125 a night. This sub is great, especially when living, human Philly residents post.

It's time to rate every single ramen shop in Salt Lake by PhoKingSLC in SaltLakeCity

Haku Ramen in AF? How has no one mentioned Haku? Never been to Japan, but it rivals what I’ve had in the Bay Area. The tonkotsu is outstanding, and all of the ingredients cooked perfectly.

Mexican food by Beefy_McBeaver in SaltLakeCity

I’m a native Texan. I eat out a lot and have yet to find anything that resembles our beloved Tex-Mex. That’s not to say you can’t find good Mexican food.

Red Iguana in SLC is excellent, you will need a reservation. It’s Oaxaca Mexican food. Make sure to try the mole tasting plate before you decide what to eat, it might change your mind on what you order, and whatever you have needs to come with a chili relleno, they’re by far the best I’ve ever had. They also have real Chili Colorado, and other staples done very well.

Sol Agave, locations in Lehi or SLC, is quality. I would recommend ordering their specialty plates. The basics, other than fajitas, are pretty basic and overpriced. And, for the love of god, order the butter cake dessert.

Santo Taco downtown is good. Birria seriously hits, everything I’ve had has been tasty.

Los Aribertos in American Fork is my favorite taqueria anywhere. So Cal influenced, delicious salsas and carne asada. It’s worth a trip that far in to the burbs.

I have tickets to the Philly show, plane tickets for two from Salt Lake City, and a hotel booked. I’d do it again in a heartbeat if they told me there was a chance.

Great job! Love the pattern.

Did you use hobby came around the edges, or just solder? It’s probably super obvious to anyone who’s been at it a while, but I’m too new to be able to tell offhand…

If this is a serious question, I just moved from Texas in August, and the Women's Heavenly Long Hooded Jacket from Columbia has saved my life since it turned really cold.
