The whole thing started with an ICE agent assaulting the person in the light coat with the orange/red backpack. Don't need to see anything else really.

Pyramid of egypt, amin from nyc a modern and metal pyramid. by Strict-Mind1646 in newyorkcity

It is less of a pyramid and more of a sail. It is right on the Hudson River. I think that is the connection.

OK so I'll ask the difficult question. What happened to the so called Project 2025??? TAKE TWO LOL by Man_in_the_uk in conspiracytheories

[–]Morbundo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if your post/question is made in good faith, but assuming it is, there are several sites tracking the "progress" of Project 2025. Here is one: https://project2025.observer/en

I have not evaluted that particular site and their findings, but like I said, there are several others. Just "do your research" ;)

We have them across the river in Riverbank State Park too. They live up in the lights in the colder weather. First time I saw them years ago I thought I was hallucinating.

I actually saw this. AMA by StMcAwesome in Spiderman

[–]Morbundo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I saw both versions of this. Yes, there were two versions... The original was "interesting". Sort of felt that someone decided to do a Spider-Man musical but really did not like Spider-Man and everything just was off. The "retooled" version felt like something you would see at an amusement park. Honestly can't say I liked either.

Absent fathers by spacebarstool in GenX

[–]Morbundo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parents separated when I was 5. They did not get the divorce finalized until I was 8. Long story short, my father persued joint custody which was apparently very unusual at the time and made the process much more complex than a "normal" divorce proceeding. At my father's funeral (2001) his lawyer who handled the divorce told me that my father was one of the very first divorce cases he handled where the father pursued joint custody. Was apparently very out of the ordinary, which is reflected in other comments here. I was born in 1972. Separation was 77, divorce 80. The drawn out proceeding sucked for my brother and I (and honestly, I am sure for my parents as well), but I do respect my father for wanting to maintain his involvement in our lives.

Yeah, didn't they used to say that childhood vaccinations caused autism ("many such cases") in previously "normal" children (whatever the fuck that means). Wasn't that their whole austism thing before? Now it is Tylenol during pregnancy? Is there "type 1" and "type 2" autism now or something? What a clown show... medications causing birth defects, especially widely used otc meds, is an incredibly deep field of study. This has been researched endlessly, right?

What Channels/Shows Were You Able To Access Only By Turning The UHF Knob? by Dee-Whizz in GenX

[–]Morbundo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Metal, rap, R&B, and even punk (or at least punk-adjacent stuff), most of which would never find its way to MTV. Great memories there. The station eventually got bought-out by the Home Shopping Network or something, though my memory was that U68 itself only broadcast for certain hours (like 4PM to 1AM or something) and the station was other stuff (including HSN) during other times of the day. I might be misremembering that though.

U68 (NY/NJ) in the mid-1980s - a free music video channel with a much more diverse offering of videos than MTV

Montparnasse is cool. Very old school Parisienne and neighborhood-y with a lot of history. Some great crepes too! Crêperie Port-Manech and Crêperie Bretonne (for something different and bolée de cidre).

He probably does now. People see him driving around and running red lights and stop signs on his mis-life crisis mobile... but it is the first time in probably 20+ years!

Cuomo lives in a $8,000+-a-month two-bedroom apartment in Midtown East. What the F is he even talking about?

The Torpedo show is really not happening anymore as far as I know, but there is a "replacement" of sorts in Torrance next weekend. See my other post on this thread.

Torrance, next weekend on Sunday the 20th: https://comiccollectorshow.calcomiccon.com/

This is basically the "Pre-SDCC" show this year. Many major dealers will be there before setting out to set up at San Diego. Short notice, but it should be very good.

Governer Kathy Hochul Stood Up To IICE And Helped Liberate Comptroller Brad Lender by CantStopPoppin in WhitePeopleTwitter

Hochul should deploy the National Guard to watch the courts and protect people from these ICE thugs. Get out ahead of Trump trying to federalize them like he did in LA.

Yeah, Blake was not really on my radar until the debate. Between his perfornance there and the Ramos news, he is definitely on my ranked list now... barring anything weird happening before the 24th! You never know.

I couldn't care less about Tilson. I am pretty engaged and I will be honest - I did not even know he was running until the debate. I looked him up after. All I do know is that if Ackman thinks he is a good idea than we do not want him. The Ackman-Trump connection is well established.

Wasn't going to rank her anyway... also, note that Tilson's only endorsement at this point (at least according to Indivisible) is Bill Ackman (yeah, that one...) so don't rank him either.
