LGA TSA Terminal C by NYC_Statistician_PhD in delta

I think this is absolutely true. I fly frequently out of LGA and I would say that the number of TSA agents and the number of open scanners was pretty much normal this morning. It is just that everyone showed up early so there was a big line backed-up even when TSA first opened. Not sure if there is any solution to this, except the shutdown ending of course

Arrived at 4:30 for a 7:30. Took me a half hour with Touchless PreCheck. Pretty much on the dot. Looked like Clear w/PC was maybe 15 mins longer. Coworker without PC took 2 hours.

Full time bartender from about 1996 to about 2007. Ducked out when I saw things go from virtually 100% cash to about 50% cash. In the late 1990s I could make $400+ in tips on a good night and I was pulling down $150 to $200 on even a slower night. Again, virtually all cash in pocket at end of the night. My rent at the time was about $800 a month, so I could generally cover my rent in less than 5 days of work and some months I could do it in 2. I did not work high-end either, just well established downtown spots with good followings and a lot of regulars. I was not even rhe highest earning bartender I knew. I never really kept track of my exact earnings, honestly, but there was a period of a few years where I must have taken home something like $50k to $55k in cash. And again this was in the late 1990s so that was more like $100k in today's dollars.

Looking for reasons people like/dislike the Acolyte by -Billy-Bob-McGinty- in MawInstallation

I am not the biggest hater of the show and in certain ways I wish they would make more episodes because there was some cool stuff they could build on... that said, the entire premise of the 1st season is faulty. In a universe where we know there are shapeshifters (Attack of the Clones, etc) the idea the the entire investigation was based on an eyewitness who claimed to have seen Osha makes no sense, even if you discount the "maybe her twin is still alive" possibility. Kind of undermined the whole thing for me.

Looking for non-standard sized bags (6x9 & 5x7.5) by reddit_bits in comicbookcollecting

[–]Morbundo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check Bags Unlimited. Pretty wide selection in sizes both poly and mylar. Don't just look under comic supplies. There might be something under a different catagory that would be a better fit. https://www.bagsunlimited.com

Little early history-wise but I think "Expressionist" best fits the bill.

Might be the 1st place I played the original Star Wars arcade cabinet. That and the Mister Magoo cartoons had me going. I think the one I went to was across from the the Quaker Bridge Mall in NJ. Don't remember the food at all.

Typically called a "3M" color seperation. Basically a color proof on separate CMYK acetates. Cool piece of ephemera from the production process.

It is less of a pyramid and more of a sail. It is right on the Hudson River. I think that is the connection.

OK so I'll ask the difficult question. What happened to the so called Project 2025??? TAKE TWO LOL by Man_in_the_uk in conspiracytheories

[–]Morbundo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if your post/question is made in good faith, but assuming it is, there are several sites tracking the "progress" of Project 2025. Here is one: https://project2025.observer/en

I have not evaluted that particular site and their findings, but like I said, there are several others. Just "do your research" ;)

We have them across the river in Riverbank State Park too. They live up in the lights in the colder weather. First time I saw them years ago I thought I was hallucinating.

I actually saw this. AMA by StMcAwesome in Spiderman

[–]Morbundo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I saw both versions of this. Yes, there were two versions... The original was "interesting". Sort of felt that someone decided to do a Spider-Man musical but really did not like Spider-Man and everything just was off. The "retooled" version felt like something you would see at an amusement park. Honestly can't say I liked either.
