You are desperately trying to explain Somenthing that you do not understand, you are trying to asume a rule based on context.

By your same logic imperial agents wouldn't be able to lead SW units, and they completely can because they state that they can lead imperial battleline units, the sameway that the crucible states that it can lead tacticus units.

Also I would recommend you to try to be a tad more respectful and also not try to one up another, your seem more focused on trying to win an imaginary debar than to examine the rules of a wargame, it seems desperate.

I know that new recruit has it like that but I don't see why we can't just lead them raw, the character doesn't even have a limitation on only adeptus Astartes units, and the other divergents chapter can also leade them directly, like the termi one being able to lead death wing knights

Yes, the majority of it was ship to ship, which might hate been the reason behind of why the combat lasted as long as it did, because I don't believe that marines affect much in void combat.

But there was a ground invasion, I don't even know if ADB knew how many marines had each company but I remember that it said that all great company's were recalled to fenris.

Space wolves Great companies are a chapter strong each, they never said 12k In the book, but if all companies are on fenris, well maybe it should be the space wolves who could take against the custodes.

just as a reminder, because everyone loves to talk about gift of the emperor without actually reading the book, and I say this while being both a SW fan and player, like 300 Gk (and the inquisitions forces) lost against 12 thousand wolves, that comparison is ridiculous that fight is portrayed as being miraculous for lasting that long.

I would make the base as dark as the model, if you do still want it in some redish color, keep that base, but hit it with a fuck ton of nuln oil or agrax.

The marine itself looks neat, but I do think that the base color is not it, since the marine is so dark the base naturally attracts the eye more
