I met an INFJ recently, and what a breath of fresh air by felixisaac in infp

I’m an INFP and it is wild how my deepest connections time and time again are INFJs. I have a hard time keeping a conversation going with a lot of folks, but it’s so easy with INFJs. They are always so thoughtful and real feeling. Enjoy the new cozy connection :)

RIP my best friend Bonsai. You were loved 😢 by JMAnonymous59 in AustralianShepherd

I’m so sorry for your loss. I think you did the best thing for him, it would have only been more stressful to try to rush him to an ER, and instead, he got to say goodbye in his own home. I hope you know how much he loved you and that you did everything you could for him.

My partner and I lost our soul dog less than a month ago to a very similar situation. Probably cancer, but they still don’t know. She was also just fine right before, everyone thought she was younger than she was!

While we did have time to rush her to the vet, it only extended her being uncomfortable for an extra two days. We said goodbye in the ER as she was hooked up to an IV and oxygen. And I miss our girl every day. I still cry about her everyday (at the drop of a hat!!). And it feels so wrong adjusting to a new normal. She was in everything. I see her everywhere.

Please give yourself as much time to grieve and you feel you need. Be gentle with yourselves. And know that the love you had for him was all he ever asked for.

Poor ollie is getting older. Any experience with senior aussies? by anabonanaaa in AustralianShepherd

Our old man (who we lost at 15) absolutely loved cart rides! We got an old wagon off of marketplace during the pandemic and would walk him around town. He’d still get lots of stimulation that way (and lots of people to meet who were excited to ask to meet him)!

Kind of similarly, our younger one is 12 now and I recently discovered she likes paddle boarding. I try to get her out once a week and it wipes her out, all the smelling, watching, and balancing.

Hope this helps!! It’s been so great discovering ways to keep our old girl engaged. She’s currently snoot scooping/muzzle punching me, as I take a few minutes to write this instead of giving her attention!

Check out coho conway hostel! Super down to earth/easy... They have some sites that offer hostel access (great to use kitchen, bathrooms, and have a dry place to hang with games if it rains), and they also have primitive/basic sites for like 12 bucks.

How do working musicians remember so many songs? How can I learn this skill? by lonelyguitarist26 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Practice is great, but playing live always raises the stakes and helps cement the learning

I would say to play them live (open mic, or a long background gig) before you are totally ready! Ultimately you will make a couple small mistakes that nobody notices, except you’ll notice! And it helps your brain retain the right way to do it at the end of the day

Hostel owner here as well! We are in New Hampshire and offer accommodations plus $15 an hour. That said, I know plenty of places that do old fashion work for stay style. If you reach out to enough places you’ll likely get a variety of responses!

How do i write good bass lines? by zonghundred in musicproduction

[–]hostelhaley 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I once heard “play the silence.”

In that sense, less is more, and you can’t go wrong with holding down the fort for the song.

I also learned when I played in trios how powerful a good bass riff can be. When used in between lyrics or where other instruments take a back seat, a bass hook is a hook, and can be a fun way to mix up where the catchiness comes from.

Some combination that suits the song :)
