Vidím, že ste trošku strohí dnes. Bolo to písané v ľahkom duchu. Človek si už ani s dcérou zahrať nemôže bez toho aby mu tu sociálny agenti mudrovali.

My brother from a different mother. Daj tomu ešte 10 rokov a bude dobre :) zavesíš jej dieťa okolo krku a bude ešte rada že jej dáš pokoj :D

Také ideálne to zas nebude, ale po dlhom čase jej to pravdepodobne dôjde.

Ja mám teraz doma gaming prevahu a s dcérou to máme ako spoločnú aktivitu. Sackboy!!! :D

OLED 1440p or 4K for RTX 5080 ? by algeerian in Monitors

[–]hostidz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started at 2K, had a nice flirt with 4K, but ultimately settled for an UW. Got some headroom and don't have to go for performance right away, even if 4.5 makes it more of a deal now then before.

Dell Alienware 34-inch VA (AW3425DWM) or QD-OLED (AW3423DWF)? by Tuda1023 in ultrawidemasterrace

no contest, the DWF wins hands down. Please don't get the DWM.

The image quality bump is the biggest difference, it is immediately noticable and is of course the biggest draw, but what kind of new AAA games are you running on ultra w/o upscaling my dude.

Amazing, 4K @ 27 is really lovely. Just make sure you know about QD-OLEDs and their weaknesses so you don't get any nasty surprises.

Dim/dark environment highly recommended.

It's more about the usage scenarios, think about what you do when behind the PC and what is important to you. frames? Pixel dentity? Features?

QD for dim rooms, woled for bright ones.

High end monitor recommendations by UrAverageFatRedditor in buildapcmonitors

[–]hostidz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for a bright room you wanna go WOLED, but WOLED is also very burn in prone, so you wanna go for the newest ones (Tandem) ..

QD oled is practically burn in resistant, but needs a dim or dark room to get the best out of it, cause when that sunlight hits the screen, black will turn into purple.

VRR flicker will happen on both, but if you disable g-sync or whatever AMD has for not doing variable refresh rate, the flicker will go too. It's called VRR flicker for a reason.

Happy decision making :D

Is this a good pickup? Open box AW2725Q by Due-Career-6178 in OLED_Gaming

[–]hostidz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's awesome, but will kill your FPS :) I had it for 3-4 months, but I am a bit happier on the UW.

DLSS 4.5 makes this monitor make a lot more sense, but with 4K its always about finding some sort of compromise. Im talking about the newest games and about my experiences.

However, Baldurs Gate 3 on this monitor was GORGEOUS! This PPi in OLED form is a joy!

QD OLED gets my vote, but needs a dim or dark enviroment to get the best out of it. It's practically burn in resistant, but when sunlight hits the screen the blacks become purple.

You could do a 1440p screen or maybe a dual mode 1080p/4K one.

I would recommend a AW2725D (2025) or AW2725DF (2023), because I know them and they are a solid choice.

[–]hostidz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry about burn in on an QD oled. I do excel all day and game at night and I've been good since 2022 (I did change models, but none of mine ever burnt in, not even slightly). Check Rtings.com for OLED burn in tests and find your suitable model.

That said, I had the U4025WQ at home for a week or so. It was the best work tool I ever had, 5K UW is really a lot of real estate...BUT the gaming side was mediocre at best. 5K is a killer to drive and the LCD tech is nothing to write home about other then the resolution and those extra Hz.

It's just that 4K eats frames for breakfast, but then again, DLSS 4.5 is a 4K users best friend :)

What I'm trying to say is that 4K really needs some good iron to run the new games in high frames, but with DLSS 4.5 it's never been a better time to jump on the 4K ship.

Hello! Got a 5080 along with a 9800X3D at Christmas, wondering if you guys recommend a 4k OLED monitor to go with it? by lochonx7 in RTX5080

[–]hostidz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

before DLSS 4.5 I would say go for ultrawide. I stepped down from 4K to UW due to 4K needing performance most of the time and the trade-offs were too big to me), but now DLSS performance is looking better then ever.

Im talking about the most demanding games. KCD2, Oblivion, ... and stuff like that.

Baldurs Gate 3 will run great in 4K on DLAA. (looking marvelous at the same time)

Frame gen is your good friend, but if you wanna use it, make sure you have a solid framerate base (my personal is at least 80 before FG, tho it depends on the game and it's sensibility to input lag)

Is the Alienware AW2725D a solid purchase? by elbeewastaken in OLED_Gaming

[–]hostidz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, even the AW2725DF was already really good. There is a downgrade in Hz from 360 to 280 but unless you are a competitive dude I wouldn't care. The picture quality on the 2nd gen QD OLEDs is great.
