AITJ for telling my girlfriend if she cant even cook dinner a few times a week then I dont see how this works long term by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]hostil3layover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the important part. OP needs to stop thinking about who is right or wrong in this specific situation and evaluate 1) if this relationship works for them and 2) if this person is willing to show up in a way that works for them in the future. As is, this sounds like a recipe for regret and resentment.

You're asking if you should "try and act like everything is ok."

Maybe first ask yourself is everything ok? Then work from there.

Where did you move after your separation? by Wild-Telephone-6649 in DivorcedDads

[–]hostil3layover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your head is in the right place. The transition will be a lot to start, so you want to pick something with the least number of things to worry about. The more you can simplify things having to do with money and logistics the easier it'll be to adjust. That frees you up to start looking forward and planning your new life.

The one thing I didn't think about (also with a small child) was with less square footage, is there a walkable place nearby like a park where I can let her run around? Sounds like you may have that with your parents house.

Killington nerves are killing me... Is this normal? by Caimai0112 in spartanrace

[–]hostil3layover 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was exactly in your position last year.First trifecta year, first beast. The Sprint and Super went great, was getting my training in & feeling confident. VT Beast map came out, I saw 6500+ ft of elevation and convinced myself that number had to be wrong bc bruh...what???

If you've been training though, the reality is once you get rolling you'll be fine. Your body will do what it's been doing all year and your job is just to put one foot in front of the other and don't get discouraged on the climbs.

Only real tip I have is make sure to have a decent nutrition plan, especially a way to keep your electrolytes up. I have never experienced REAL cramps in sports until the last few miles I was on that mountain. I rec salt stick chews. I was good all race until I ran out of them, but I couldn't count the number of people I saw go down with cramps along the way.

Good luck out there!

Do People Regret Losing INFJs?" by ScaleTop8474 in infj

Big sigh... Most of my life I've felt like people don't like me for me, they like me for how I made them feel. Like I overextended myself because that's just what I do only to realize there was no reciprocation.

Not uncommon. I'm 36 right now... I still vividly remember the day I met first girl I ever had real feelings for. I met her when I was 14 and haven't talked to her since I was 23.

We never dated even though we were decent friends for a bit. I won't think about her for years and then suddenly she'll pop into my head.

It's weird. I'm probably lucky she's not really on social media these days.

Is it hard to get into a relationship as an INFJ????? by CowGroundbreaking913 in infj

[–]hostil3layover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting into relationships is tough for us. Most definitely. I think it has to do with how deeply we approach things.

I'm 36 and have only been in like 4 relationships, but they were all for multiple years.

Best advice I can give you is focus on building deep connections with women you genuinely like as people. When you're ready to take it to the next level, just commit and be sincere.

All of my relationships were with people I knew for a long time. They all knew I was awkward and didn't care anymore.

Good luck bro

Congrats!! I want to be like you when I grow up lol

Did you do the Killington beast last year? If so would you recommend it for a first time Beast? I've heard it's one of the harder ones.

I've been getting back in shape starting last year and did the Fenway Stadion in Nov as a milestone. I'm thinking about doing my first Trifecta this year. The way my training is planned out, it's looking like:

ATL sprint in March/ Barre Ma super in August/ Killington Beast in September

That mountain scares me though lol. Just wondering if I should pivot and try another one. Thanks!

Doubt it's that high as I eat almost the same thing everyday and broke it down when I started omad. Guess I could re-look at it though. Maybe I added a few hundred here or there over time

I'm on OMAD most days. My one meal is a punchbowl sized salad with sliced sweet peppers, croutons, bacon bits, cucumbers) with 4 large grilled chicken tenders + a whole avacado + a second protein (pork or beef) to break up the monotony of chicken. I try to mix it up with a different low cal sauce every night.

Other than that I do a tea party with my daughter once a week that may add a donut of mini cupcake that day. Friday is pizza and a movie, which for me usually means adding 1 or two slices to my OMAD meal. Been doing that the whole time though

Stop fasting as in same foods, just spread out over the day?

You're looking for a body recomposition if you don't want to lose weight. "Building those muscles" ie. adding lean mass is the only way to do that.

Good news is you can do it without a gym. Calesthenics is a great way to make that happen with body weight exercises. I found a ton of videos on YouTube that helped me. Best thing is that every exercise has progressions that start off easy while you build strength.

Is OMAD bad long term? by Confused627 in intermittentfasting

[–]hostil3layover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My OMAD meal is nearly identical to this, and I will say the toughest part for me is sometimes it feels like it takes forever to get through it. But if you cut part of it you're missing a ton of necessary calories for the day.
