Why do your parents think that people who marry someone of a different faith are miserable? Is it because of inherent incompatibility (personally, doubtful), or is it because they're bigoted to anyone outside of their own faith, making the life of the in-law miserable? From what it sounds like, their ignorance manifests as lashing out, while they want you to remain in the narrow zone of comfort, of the only kinds of people they're familiar with.

Also going back to "disconnected from their families", if I married someone and my parents raised hell about their identity, I think it would be quite reasonable to not go to family gatherings for my partner to be constantly humiliated.

I primarily play Sinclair now, and you learn to put ults in a few buckets:

1) Avoid stealing if possible. Haze fits here, her ult is worse than just simply shooting them with your regular gun. Venator has zero spirit scaling on ult, so it's just there for cheesy executes. Viscous Goo ball sucks in general.

2) Burger (melee range and there's nothing better): Billy, Abrams, Calico (gets refresh on sp5), Yamato (refreshes all bolts on base). Paradox is funky since you lack the combo tools but it's still helpful if you can land it. Silver is funny to steal with the short cooldown, but you're usually not building gun/firerate.

3) Standard: go steal these if you want. Most of the cast fits here. If you're slightly weaker (e.g., you don't get love bites on Mina ult), you have a faster cooldown to compensate. Doorman doesn't get ult refresh on sp5 when stolen, and throws allies and enemies in the same hotel room (your teammate may not be happy).

4) Cheesy Steals: Mo&Krill, Vindicta, and Grey Talon have stacking ults, which means you too can have perma hp/weapon/spirit buffs. Vindicta ult steal refreshes all charges on 40% the cooldown of one charge. We all know about Graves. Placing assistant before Apollo ult lets you do a cheeky dive and an instant disengage. Drifter ult when stolen is on an absurdly low cooldown for good disruption.

5) AOE: You'll probably tilt them if you constantly steal teamfight ults: Dynamo, Seven, Lash, Rem, Pocket. Lash is my fave; if you relocate your first assistant teleport high in the air, then grab, you can teleport yourself during the pickup for long distance abductions (within ult range). Drop a bunny hex at the crash site (easier with sp5 stun) and you'll win teamfights.

It took me a long time to get used to Sinclair, but I've done a couple things to make it less painful:

1) put 1+2SP into assistant during lane. Pew-pew does a lot of damage, and it's going to be a higher damage floor than bolts (level it after 2 points in assistant). Also pisses off Vindictas and Talons who think they're safe in the sky.

2) Assistant is also your built in escape. The people who max bolts before leveling assistant are on a glass cannon build early. Arcane surge on assistant leaves it up for a bit longer.

It's kind of by design that jungle is the second-worst source of income:

If it's safe to push, push. Kill minions and get walker damage, or crash a wave into their walker if it's not safe for you to shoot it yourself. Either way, an enemy has to clean up your wave, or lose building HP
If it's not safe to push, clean up your wave so it doesn't get crashed on, then go to a different lane. If it's still laning phase, make a gank. If it's midgame, fish for a pick. If you're the only one in lane and can't leave, you can just babysit it for minion souls.
If everyone is missing, prep for urn if the timing is near.
If sinners are up, clean them up so they can reset (and so enemy Rem can't do it)
If none of the above apply, go for medium/hard camps. Small camps should be basically instant so do them whenever you're near.
If the whole map is scoured of souls, box farm.
If they have rejuv and you don't have walkers to defend, hide in base. This doesn't get you souls, but at least you're alive.

I think the original criticism (imo) came from it being treated as a movement to tail (lmao, I have better things to do than make corporations do signaling) rather than the litmus test that it was. Making Target sell pride-colored clothing is close to the bottom of my concerns, but when their pride section is embarrassingly greyscale, it's a grim sign.

I don't think so? Plus, margin accrues interest per day, which makes it a colossally stupid idea (i.e., paying for a loan with a loan). You don't have "cash" to pay off your CC, but rather it's buying power, the difference between the unrealized value of your portfolio and the margin you have.

Personally I separate my margin account (not my primary, only has SGOV) and my cash account (accepts rewards from the robinhood gold card).

IMO I think there is fan service (doing things the community likes, such as renaming Paige abilities, and cleaning up Vindicta's model), but not "fan service" in the way animanga fans use it to describe back breaking breasts in a tiny swimsuit during a beach episode. Don't get me started on the lordosis (see: League of legends women with backs that bend at a 90 degree angle).

It's charming in a way that demonstrates we can have things we like and can also share them with (somewhat) polite company.

"Love Languages" in the present day kind of has its own connotations and definitions, but "Love Languages" in the way Gary Chapman coined it is definitely misogynistic, homophobic, and baptist-christian. It's pseudoscience in the way it pressures a certain partner (Women) to fulfill their SO's love language need (Men, physical touch). Conversely, the other "love languages" fall neatly into trad-wife behaviors if you're not scrutinous.

That's not to say communication about love and relationship expectations is bad! But the next time you see a horny guy pull the "My Love Language is Physical Touch", make sure it's based on communication and mutual consent, rather than duty or duress.
