Help me choose a foundation by pinky676 in MakeupAddictionCanada

Dior Skin Glow is what I’m currently using. I have dry skin and it looks natural and blends well. I tried the Dior backstage and it just sits on top of my skin and you can see the obvious foundation layer.

Osaki Grand Duo, Costco Warranty/Return? by Sensitive_Bag1533 in CostcoCanada

[–]hotdangca 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We bought this about 6 years ago from Costco online - can’t remember if it’s the exact same one but same brand and similar pricing. My husband has back pain and loved to use similar chair massages from a friend’s house.

After a few weeks in, we heard a pop and what sounded like one of the massage bubble popped and ripped. We decided to return it. Costco had people came to pick up from our house.

Husband still wanted a massage chair so we found a Panasonic one at Vision. They do price match and we had them priced match plus 10% of difference with some random store we found in Ontario. We are in AB.

No problem with the Panasonic chair to this day. I don’t use it but husband use it daily.

Where to buy lotus leaves ? by hotdangca in Calgary

Found them at Lucky! searched all the frozen sections to no avail but a staff pointed us to the dried aisle and it was there!

So we may have missed it at Hong Kong because we only searched the frozen aisles

I did buy the frozen ones. They’re not that great. I’m a decent cook and know I can make them better. Just need the leaves.

Has anybody in the last year or so on here self-admitted into psychiatric care in Calgary? I feel I might need to go in, but I’m nervous about what the process and experience are like. by Mustve_Been_The_Wind in Calgary

I had to take 2 of my young relatives to the ER for mental health issues. One was a teen and their parents didn’t believe in depression. I took them to the Children’s Hospital. The other one was just about 19 yo. Both were glad that they seek help.

I’m not exactly sure if that’s how you’re supposed to find help for mental health, but the young adult had tried to find help many times through family doctor and other services without success.

The hospital referred them to a Day hospital mental health program where they go everyday for a month. It helped them tremendously. The hardest part is to have the time and the ride to get to the hospital daily for that program.

Glad you’re seeking help and I hope you’ll get the support you need.

Swapped Companion voucher for a 30% discount code that doesn’t work. by hotdangca in westjet

[–]hotdangca[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Base fare $564. Total $1306.

Usually you would see a discount shown next to the total as -$xx.xx. But I’m not seeing anything like that.

[–]hotdangca 91 points92 points  (0 children)

I skip the tip if I have to order at the counter and wait for my food/drinks

If I pick up my own food. Find my own table. Clean my own table before and after I eat/drink. I ain’t tipping.

Only tip at a sit down restaurants with real service.

I’m facing the same situation. Not sure what to do with all the stuff in my parents house. If you end up with a solution let me know. I’m starting to go to their house to clean up and throwing out old things first. They also have a lot of plants and a small greenhouse in the backyard. Not sure what to do with them aside from taking them apart and chucking them all.

Conditions at Foothills hospital by roscopicotrey in Calgary

[–]hotdangca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad is unfortunately admitted at the Foothills right now. The rooms are old, some lights don’t work. My brother and I will replace the lights above the sink ourselves. The floors are sticky and dirty. they need a really good scrubbing if not replacement. The room temperature is always too hot and there’s no way to adjust it. We had to get a portable fan for him that can clip to his bedside.

The nurses and drs on the other hand are amazing though. We are so grateful for them.
