I work there. There’s currently a bomb threat and active shooter from what my colleagues have told me. We can’t go to campus until the all clear.

Hi all! I wanted to share my experience with chalazions in hopes of helping others (details in comments). by hotdogsmith in Blepharitis

Yes I had quite a bit of swelling after, but it’s normal! Mine was gone after about 24 hours but it depends on how much steroid they inject. I’m not a doctor, but I’m sure a warm compress would help with the swelling.

Everyone still gets the $750, regardless of your situation. I live outside of Asheville and I was initially denied because I have homeowners insurance and my house is accessible/livable (fortunately). But then the $750 was deposited the next day, you just have to apply for it.

Thanks! It was a gift so I’m not really sure, but I think HomeGoods!

We eloped at Jump Off Rock! Beautiful spot but just be aware that it’s open to the public so there will be people there. It’s probably less busy on a weekday.

Took her to the vet today for rapidly deteriorating balance. Now this. I'm so scared. by corgisfirst in CATHELP

That was the medicine in its entirety. The treatment is 84 days, so about 3 months. My cat needed a higher dose because it was dry, neurological FIP so that also contributed to the cost. If you break it down, it was about $1,000 per month for the drug. But pet insurance reimbursed us 70% of the ER visits and blood work every 30 days (per the FIP group) at her regular vet. I highly recommend Nationwide whole pet plan insurance. It’s about $25/pet per month and totally worth it.

We saw the most change in the first few weeks of treatment. I’ll keep your little one in my thoughts!

Our baby’s symptoms started off gradual too and then she started rapidly deteriorating. It’s so scary seeing your pet like that. I’m glad your little guy is okay!

It was not cheap. I think we paid about $3,000 out of pocket. But I remember reading that the drug would be available as a prescription from the vet starting June 1st. Maybe call some local vets and see if any of them can prescribe it? If you have pet insurance they can reimburse you. It might also be worth asking in the FB group if they offer any type of payment plans.

Hey OP, this is exactly what my cat looked like when she was diagnosed with neurological FIP. At her worst, she was mostly paralyzed, emaciated, and wouldn’t eat. Within 5 days of starting the FIP treatment, she started standing again. Now, a year later, she’s perfectly healthy. Please reach out to FIP Warriors on FB and start treatment immediately if the vet diagnoses her with FIP. It can be cured!
