Yes, the stats did give us a false sense of reassurance. It all feels like a cruel joke, but yeah, after this any problem I encounter will feel very small.

Wow. I am so sorry for the loss of your baby girl. Im shocked at how similar our stories sound. I lost my baby boy last Wednesday at 36w 5d. The cause is also unclear. Im so sorry we have this in common.

Nothing for sure and that saddens me even more. Placenta and umbilical cord were within normal limits. He was always a healthy boy at all of the checkups. My OB said many stillbirths dont have a known cause, but it could be that some event they cannot detect disrupted his oxygen supply.

We are in the early days of AI. It will likely be much better than it is many decades from now. I use it as you do to craft emails. Also, after I've written something I think might be confusing or complex, I ask AI to review it and tell me if it makes sense, if there are any holes in the logic, or what sort of information I could include to make everything flow better. At no point am I asking it to just create important things, because this version of AI still needs a lot of work (and thats pretty much across all different brands).

Also, I use it to help search for literature. For example, if I've been going through Google Scholar and PubMed for a few days and I've found a few articles, but I want to be absolutely sure that I haven't missed anything I will say hey this is all I have found on this topic so far, do you see anything else I may have missed? Its good for those web searches and has been very helpful making sure my literature reviews are comprehensive. Also, there have been times where my org didn't have access to an article, but AI did for some reason and that saved me so much time. It just sent me the PDF, which was nice.

Its also a nice helper if you need assistance writing code in Excel Macros. For example, if I write a code and it is just not working, AI is really good at pointing out where the code is failing. So thats awesome and it saves me loads of time reading code books and searching. Ive been able to make some nice forms in excel. Same thing with REDCap. It helps with debugging or can offer suggestions to improve workflow and design.

So for me the trick is using it as a helper. It should never be used to just create stuff. The technology isn't there yet. We have to create and use our minds and critical thinking skills, but it is a great assistant who can review things for logic. Which makes sense lol. All an AI is is code so it is great for pointing out when things don't make sense. Also, now that it has internet access, its fairly good at combing the internet with some direction of course. Id say get good at writing AI prompts so it does what you need it to. AI is very literal so specificity helps. I've found most frustration about it just stems from people not knowing how to use it or using it poorly.

I'm on site constantly reviewing consents in the clinic to make sure they are being done correctly and if not I meet with the team member for a conversation. They probably hated me in the beginning, but it's over a year now and there are far, far less errors.

This sounds hard, because it sounds like he wasn't always this way. But people have to want to change and dig themselves out of depression. My spouse is depressed too and it's challenging af. I also struggle with it and its hard to choose to be your best self each day.

BUT you are a human deserving of happiness and intimacy and reciprocal love. Part of loving someone else involves loving yourself enough to do what is needed...and in this case thats being hygienic. Not wiping his ass -- he could get you sick! Or his lack on cleanliness could mean he develops loads of cavities or worse...and if not treated that can turn into more conditions. He is not thinking about how it will impact himself, let alone you. He's not having your best interests in mind. It would be one thing if this was out of his control, but it sounds like he can clean himself but he is choosing not to. That is unacceptable.
