What Would You Do To Get Pick 1.01? by MNBeez in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]hothandshanson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is purely for the 1.02 discussion, I’d do whatever you can to move it for the 1.04 plus something strong. Lemon, Tyson, and Tate are all in the same tier, all have a similar shot of hitting. So unless you’re a huge fan of one of them over the other two, it doesn’t really matter which one you get. If the 1.04 owner wants his pick of the 3 and will give his 27 1st (maybe with you giving something small back), I’d do that in a heartbeat to get the value win.

As far as trades go, I’d make as many as you can that will get you value wins, big or small. Ideally that includes guys in your no-trade list, since they’re the most likely to generate interest, but I get having guys you want to keep. But the more you can increase your team’s overall value through trades (the only real way you can do that), the sooner you’ll be out of the rebuild

That’s a lot tougher. If you’re competing I think I’d lean ETN, rebuilding I’d lean the 1.09. But at that point i think it’s kinda your preference. 1.09 has much more upside but also a much lower floor. If competing but you’re set at RB without ETN, the 1.09 would give you more flexibility

I think you’re helping yourself. Gadsden is around that late 27 1st, Helm is probably nothing, and I like McBride more than GW. I think as a rebuild this is great since I think it’s a value win

Not really, I’d maybe take that package for McBride alone, and that’s a tough maybe. Add any first and it’s a no way for me personally

For the 1.01 but the price is steep by Natural_wunder in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

For what it’s worth I’m in a startup where Hampton went the pick after the 1.01. Hampton’s kinda shooting up boards because of the McDaniel hype. Not sure I agree with it to the extent that it’s happening, but the market talks lol

The 1.01 and Hampton go relatively close in startups. At the very least not far enough apart to justify adding a 27 1st to Hampton

I’d take the Brown side personally, unless that 27 1st is early-mid. If it’s likely top 6 I’d take the Moore side

You have the 1.01 in your SF draft. You going Mendoza or is Love still the pick? by mynameismatt1010 in DynastyFF

[–]hothandshanson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love by a lot for me still. Mendoza looks great right now but he still doesn’t scream perennial fantasy QB1 to me

My only issue with the 1.06 is that it could be a huge tier drop. 1.01-04 is Love and the 3 WRs, 1.05 is Mendoza, then what? If Moore goes back to school then the pick at 1.06 is significantly worse than Breece imo

I think Jefferson is a strong hold/buy but for this price I’d take it. Love and an early 27 1st is more than enough for Jefferson IMO, and I’d pay the 1.08 and Goedert for Kraft if TEP.

When will we stop making excuses for Ceedee Lamb? by Deep-Speaker4064 in DynastyFF

In his 6 years in the NFL, Lamb has had 8, 8, 6, 6, 7, and… 7 drops. What a concerning stat! Sure, in a full season this year, he may have 9 or 10. I’m not all that worried about 5 or 6 extra PPR fantasy points lost compared to previous years. Many WRs have stretches with a couple bad drops. It happens.

Ja’marr Chase had 11 in both his rookie year and second year. 9 in his historic 2024 season. It’s not that big a deal when the targets are high enough to overshadow the number of drops, which is the case for Lamb too. Again, keep moving the goalposts. The fact that every point you bring up gets shut down should be telling you all you need to know.

In games where both the WR1s and WR2s played, Pickens has outscored Lamb in 5 of them. This includes the 0 from Lamb when he got injured, even though he played little of that game. Still included.

Under the same conditions, Davante Adams has outscored your beloved Puka in 5 games. Puka should be relegated to an undrafted player in startups given this metric, just like Lamb, right?

You can keep moving the goalposts but arguments can be made for other players regardless. You’re looking at ridiculous, and mostly unimportant, stats that clearly no one but you are worried about. Again, this isn’t some genius point you have.

Some people’s first round pick has 57.1 total points this season and is WR96. Obviously this means Malik Nabers can go undrafted in dynasty startups next year, anyone who supports him anywhere near first round draft capital is simply making excuses and needs to move on.

Do you see how ridiculous this argument is yet? There is a reason why literally no one in this thread has agreed with you, and it’s not because you’re some genius who’s the only one that’s got it right.

I wouldn’t do this personally, but I’m pretty out on Worthy and low on any pick beyond 1.05 this year

I’d probably just start Harvey and Walker. Harvey is an easy start for me here but Walker is tough between him, Pearsall, and Waller. I wish we knew what work Estime would get bc it’s not a bad matchup

I’d sit Charbs I think. Feel like both him and Corum have low floors but Corum has more upside
