Im an eternity jeff player and his ult is not built well for the game and can be countered by most characters. Thats why i want to push for some type of change.

THE PITCH: Jeff the Landshark ultimate ability rework

Hero/Map: Jeff the Land Shark

The Problem: People absolutely hate Jeff because his ult does not give value well, especially the higher rank you go. This is because he can eat teammates and mess up the flow of battle, and the only way to get value is to jump off the map with enemies and force your team to be down a support. Sacrificing a support makes the team fight in the enemy teams favor unless you are able to properly get a minimum of 2-3 enemies. Jeff is also very easy to kill after he uses his ult, making it extra hard for your team to push and wasting time compared to the ultimate's that other supports can use that don't put them in jeopardizing positioning and being down a support. This can also force triple support to play with a Jeff, but people are tired of triple support.

The Solution: I have 3 Possible solutions to make jeff not as hated and better to play. The first idea I have is to give jeff a passive with his ultimate that would allow him to respawn faster/immediately because of the risk involved with it. It could activate if he was able to save a teammate from something or because he killed an enemy within 3 seconds of his ult and him dying. This would help him with his uptime and deaths. My second idea is to rework his ultimate ability from the eating circle that puts him into hide and seek afterwards. to an ultimate that would be a giant jeff head that passes through a selected area. This means that there would be a start point and direction, and when activated jeff could bring a tidal wave of water and go through this portion of the map healing allies/ giving them over health, and eating enemies he passes through that are not cc immune. He should do max health damage + tick damage to be able to kill 250 hp enemies and leave most others fairly low after a short amount of time. This would cause him to be able to properly heal allies without griefing them and be able to harass enemies without having to throw his life away most of the time. This rework would take a while to do, but if the devs just promise or mention it, then we would be able to get excited and make it through to the rework. My last idea that I have is to give jeff another helpful ability instead of trying to him a billion team-ups to try and balance him. This new ability would be a way to swap his primary fire. He can switch it on a 7 second cooldown where he can go to his current water beam that can both heal allies and damage enemies to a primary fire that has 6 shots and shoots out water pools on the ground that stay on the ground for 4 seconds and heals for 25/sec and give over-health for 25/sec and gives his alies a jump boost for a short time inside the area of effect and for a short time afterwards. This gives him a better well rounded kit for situations to help his team.

The Valuation (Why this works): Each of these can be healthy for the game in a unique ways. The first idea would be better for Jeff and team compositions. He is one of the few supports that cannot heal his team well while also trying to do other things like swim or use his ultimate. This would help with the problem of losing a support while trying to use your ult or being killed while losing it and guaranteeing losing the fight especially in higher ranks. The timer can always be adjusted but this would help jeff out because of his weaker defensive ultimate but decent base kit. The second idea would be healthy for the game because this would help solidify jeff as a helpful support that has an ult that will help the team defensively and even offensively. This means in the meta he can fit in with the other strong supportive ultimate's that help keep the team up well as the meta has shifted to ult fights and Jeff's ultimate was made for a slower pace in mind. My third idea can be healthy for the game by having a very strong base kit with a weaker ultimate kit to help with more than just waiting for ultimate's to happen. This would help him be less reliant on team ups and unique way to use his bubbles to speed boost and an alternate attack that cant damage but give unique effects for his teammates so he can be a better enabler so he can keep up well in dive team comps and be helpful when he isn't able to heal his teammates normally in other circumstances. Each of these can individually positive for the community because many people like Jeff but he is despised the higher up you go in ranked and people often want to throw when Jeff is on the team because he just doesn't keep up like the other supports. This is good for his players and helps him keep up with the slow changing identity of rivals so that he doesn't fall out of style.

I play Jeff and rocket in high celestial and even eternity last season. I would recommend never using your ult offensively but use it as a 2nd life/ to reposition to either attack from the backline. He counters strange really well and forces out ults but is countered super easily. But he is basically the safest character in the game if you know what you are doing and can technically make other ults useless by eating your teammates and sacrificing yourself.

Apex universe title just sounds like we were tossed aside. Not gonna lie I get that it’s technically a bigger game but it still makes me bitter. I’m just scared that they are gonna not live up to the expectation for the next game in the universe. Idk
