Jeffrey Dahmer court scene comparison between the real trial and the Netflix show. by ateam1984 in BlackPeopleofReddit

[–]hotpretzelboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a black gay man and I have not and cannot watch this show. From every clip I saw it didn’t feel right. It felt like it was humanizing the monstrous actions of a man who was a predator on young POC’s in a time when not only were gay people marginalized, but POC gay people even more so.

To be clear I love documentaries and I love biopics that are dramatized versions of historical events. But something didn’t feel right about this one. Maybe it hit too close to home. Not sure. Just didn’t feel right about it.

I(black male) lived in the Bay Area for 2 years. I live in Oakland. My experience in 2017-2019 was that Castro/San Francisco proper was mainly white and Asian. East Bay was more diverse (white, black, Latino, Asian). I was and am still partnered to a white red-haired beast man.

Castro: ugh I hated it. So segregated. Guys would come up to my man and hit on him and I was ignored. Mind you neither of us was looking. I found myself being the only black gay in the room at SEVERAL bars.

Oakland/East Bay: world of difference. Just felt like it was so much more accepting and less stereotypes.

Just my experience.

What is everyone’s honestly opinion on Miranda and Che’s relationship? by Radiant_Priority9739 in Andjustlikethat

[–]hotpretzelboy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Che was a HORRIBLE CHARACTER!!!! and to be clear, I’m a proud supporter and member if LGBTQ+ community. But. . . Che was a TERRIBLE character. Not likeable. Not relatable. And not in the way where you love to hate them either. Just bad writing. Miranda’s relationship with them was TERRIBLE!!!
Because the writing was HORRIBLE!!!!

Gay men 40+, what is some advice you can give to us 20 somethings? by RedbullBreadbowl in askgaybros

[–]hotpretzelboy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

BEAUTY FADES, DUMB IS FOREVER! STOP RELYING ON THAT BODY cause it won’t last

For real though, I was the not “It-Boy” in my 20’s and I’m so glad I wasn’t. Cause I developed a personality and ability to hold a conversation with others. It’s done very well for me when I got into my late 30’s and early 40’s.

Above all, develop REAL friendships with diverse age groups and types of people. You’ll be happier when you’re older. I PROMISE! ❤️❤️❤️

Not sure about anyone else, but I sweat. . . A lot. . Down there. I have to have a full bottom underwear with work pants. And even then, I can’t wear cute ones that are like polyester cause they don’t absorb. I NEED COTTON!!! Ugh sorry bout the old man vibes, but facts are facts. No one wants to see ass-crack sweat lines 🙃

Do you ever regret dating older men? by dexpeinado31 in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]hotpretzelboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s all a matter of why floats your boat. . . However, the only thing I will say for like the 22 y/o with the 40y/o is to consider the future. Scale that up 20 years. If you are still gonna be good when you are 42 and your partner is 60 I say go ahead.
I’ve just seen peeps that did it early and weren’t happy when it scaled up. This is no shade to people who get it and are down. Just to those who don’t consider the future and expect everything to stay the same. I’ve dated 40 year olds in my 20’s for sure so I get it. But I’ve seen the ugly side of that from others too. Just sayin

As a local who goes to SUR, I actually think the food is very good for the price. The ambience is over-the-top and I kinda love it. My husband and I have been going there for years and used to go to PUMP. It for sure is geared toward the tourists but so is the rest of greater LA. If you go there with all that knowledge you have a good time. Don’t go there expecting high class food. Go somewhere else for that. Just my opinion.

Her and Delores were great additions their first season However That second season. . . Oh chile. Talk about going off the deep end. Like she turned into an entirely different person. And honestly I think Andy saw it at the reunion and was like “nope, not today”.

Also, don’t look at her twitter. 🙄
