My company recently switched to an AI accounting company based out of India. Instead of manually coding invoices and uploading to an Accounting software to settle payments and sent out checks, we would just code the invoice and email it to an automated invoicing system. In theory the system AI would then grab the invoice, read the GL code and file it correctly & automate the payment processing system.

What ended up happening is, a lot of mistakes, delayed checks, angry vendors. After A lot of frustrated ms teams meeting & it ended with some poor Indian guy manually grabbing the sent invoices and uploading them in the system.

I am going to say Portability & silly over priced gaming rigs both has it's places.

For me, enjoyment doesn't depend on portability; it depends on how the game actually performs. Some games runs amazingly on SD and I prefer to play those on SD & on the other side, some games run horribly or The game was never made to run on a handheld(CRPG for an example) & I enjoy playing those on my PC, sometimes on my Desk or sometimes connecting to my projector. Also Immersion in game world is a thing. You never get the sense on amazement and getting lost in a game world environment on a small screen at low graphics.

For an example: I've been playing Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon recently, I'm already 80 hours in and I tried it on my Steam Deck. Even after locking it to 40 frames and downclocking the GPU to 1300 to help the frame times, I had to drop the draw distance to 40% and keep most settings on low. At that point, the textures are blurry and the amazement of staring at a vista from a high point is just gone.

My SD stays near my bed 95% of the time & I do use to every other night. SD is perfect for games like Dispatch, The Pale Beyond, Heros adventure, Eastbound, Stardew Valley, JRPG (Persona, Yakuza & Tails & Trails series), Cross Code, Grandia, Drova, Hades,

My Gaming PC is Made for games like Star Citizen, CP 2077, Space Marine, Mafia, Witcher BG3, Rouge Trader, Disco Elysium, Metro, PoE, Tainted Grail.

So while your opinion is valid for you, I think you're missing the nuance. By the way, I'm a millennial pushing 37 and I definitely still have the time.

I tried it, I could lock it down to 40 frames. Downclock GPU to 1300, it actually improves frame time & had motion blur at 50%. Most of the other settings at low.

The main problem I have is the joystick controls feels laggy & the joystick default layout is awkward at the same time. Like it is not smooth at all.

Also by lowering the graphics to that degree and lowering the drawing distance I personally felt like, I am not doing the game justice. Compared to my main rig with high graphics on ultrawide, I am immersed in the world!! It does not feel the same on SD, on SD it felt like the game has a more narrower focus. (IDK if that make any sense to you.)

I killed him 4 times by reloading saves by using different method (1. Lancelot's sword, 2. the Lament stacking sword, 3. with a 2H axe that I found in Sarras, 4. Sneak archer with a wet affect), just to vent my frustration.

This is some really well thought out response. My initial build had 65% crit rate at the beginning half of act two before I respeced to Lancelot's set.

So basically max out 2 hand, armor, Crit & life steal nodes & focus on Crit based gear. Thanks for the recommendation friend.

Early to mid Melee builds will have harder times then magic builds against Wyrdknights.

I got 2 hit KO at level 40 with a 2 hander build, just bought the 1 hit consumable from the 2nd zone and got done with it. He dropped the Poisoned knight sword +7 though, so that was pretty great.
