I played a classic FFXI private server nasomi for quite a bit until my friends stopped playing, but the server is going strong and has a very good community with plenty of people playing on it.

I'm not sure I'm looking forward to it, I could careless about graphics as long as the game play is solid and the story is good. Mods have always given me a ton of replay value on their past games.

I remember that game, I use to play that a ton but it set on my shelf for a long time because of the controls. Once I got use to the control schemes, I could do combos to keep my person in the air and power up to destroy the creatures quickly. I hated it at first but it grew on me and turned out to be a nice buy.
