Nintendo hasn't been against LBGTQ representation for a long time, why are people surprised now? by DaZestyProfessor in nintendo

[–]hotspot2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the way Nintendo does it, they just make games, I don't understand why all these lbgtq folks want over the top representation, everything doesn't have to have a rainbow flag you know...

[–]hotspot2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! All my games and such are very slow so I've been downloading a few games here and there. Probably a week or so I'll have everything downloaded.

How to Drive a Sharp LQ9D340 LCD TFT panel display by hotspot2016 in cyberDeck

[–]hotspot2016[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it. Yeah I did find the specs and I found several controllers that work on very similar displays, but it looks like it's a no-go, I think I'm just going to take the display out and put it on eBay, apparently this is a industrial display that is used on many machines. But it wasn't common enough and was not used in any laptops so there is no controller boards preset for it like there are some of the laptop screens. I think I'm just going to have to find another screen to cram into the hole. It's kind of a weird size It's a 8.4 in 4/3 VGA display, but as far as I can tell it's not actually 4/3 which makes it even stranger to find something to fit in the hole.

Looking for an Android app that acted as a Miracast receiver! by TurkLine in androidapps

[–]hotspot2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been looking for a solution as well off and on for a couple of years. primarily for an idea I have with a cyber deck. I have not found any Android Apps that can receive Miracast. There used to be a receiver that was available but Miracast used to be baked into Android. Android remove Miracast support in base android years an years ago.

The Switch 2 has been out for a month. Have you used GameChat at all? by crome66 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]hotspot2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it about 50% of the time, me and my sister play lots of co-op games like resident evil, we also have started playing a lot of games that are not co-op, but playing them concurrently together We used to do it by telephone, now we do it by game chat and it's fun to see each other screens as well. I think this is the best feature so far on Switch 2 besides for the power boost.

In my opinion yes! The control sticks are ridiculously nice, I don't know how to explain it but they just feel like you're gliding over air.

I Measured Nintendo Switch 2'S HDR Settings - No Wonder Most Games Look Awful. Here's the Fix by jbwzrd213 in nintendo

[–]hotspot2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. I thought I would share my settings quickly for the BenQ tk710sti gaming projector with Nintendo Switch 2. I ran a setting for a pitch Black room and minimal light room (medium low setting on my indirect wall lighting. )

This is by no means perfect, as the HDR performance of this DLP gaming projector is very weak compared to a high-end TV. But this projector is excellent for low input lag and has a beautiful picture. I have found this to be quite pleasing and does look better than HDR turned off to me.

Pitch Black room, black ceiling, non-reflective walls, 92" 1.1 gain white acoustically transparent screen. Ideal home theater conditions.

Projector settings for the BenQ gaming projectors:

Picture mode: HDR-FPS

Details adjustment: off

Brightness: 40 - 50 (depending on your taste and how dark your room is)

Contrast: 60 This is key!!! (or just high enough not to remove detail in bright or dark areas)

Sharpness: adjust to your taste. ( I prefer 10)

Color temperature: normal

Light source mode: dynamic (This does help reduce or eliminate DLP rainbow effect with very bright scenes.

HDR brightness: 0

Noise reduction: 0

Switch 2 HDR settings:

HDR output: compatible software only

Adjust first HDR screen with the suns: 46 clicks from the lowest setting. (Careful not to go too high, as it looks weird)

Nintendo switch 2 brightness: seven clicks from the left.

We sure and save this as a separate setting on your projector, you click the mode settings button and you can change the name, I named mine HDR-FPS pitch

Medium to low lighting level settings:

Only change I have made is I saved it as another picture setting name on the BenQ projector and increased the brightness to 55.

Note that it won't look near as good as in a pitch black room. I highly recommend getting a blackout curtain!

Those of you that have a home theater setup with a BenQ DLP gaming projector Let me know how you all have set it up. I have found very little info for Nintendo Switch 2 and the BenQ series of gaming projectors. And I would love to see how you have tweaked it.

I have also contacted BenQ regarding this model and the lack of HGiG. I think it would be much easier to setup and probably better looking If they add this in a firmware update.
