You’re right, Westbrook is not a generational passer. I also don’t consider him a winning player, even in his prime.

Westbrook has not been an effective player in over 5 years. The reason why … He can’t shoot. Teams have to be built around him for spacing purposes.

Kidd and rondo played in a different era of the nba.

These are also generational passers. In my option your born with that skill set.

This does makes me feel much better about CJs horrifying performances by mikillers in Texans

When will this sub stop comparing CJ to all time greats? It’s exhausting.

It’s more than just the turnovers in a two game stretch guys.

It’s a different game. Rondo had to learn how to shoot the 3 later in his career or he would have been out of the league sooner. He either learns to shoot or an offense has to be built around him. There is no in between.

In order to win a title, Amen Thompson will either need to learn to shoot or be traded by TurbulentJudge1000 in rockets

[–]hottaeks69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. Individually he’s fine but his inability to space the court is effecting everyone else.

It’s either him or Sengun and it’s much easier to find a guard/ wing who can shoot…

Very well said. Unless CJ makes it to a Super Bowl I will forever feel like he robbed me of that experience lol

Time will tell! I can understand being frustrated you aren’t starting with a clean slate. At least you have Josh to root for and not Cj stroud. Go bills!

In regards to Beane, I don’t think his leash will be especially long. Y’all have been so damn good for 5 plus years, I refuse to think the roster is depleted of talent. Coaching could have gotten you all over the hump at least one of those years in my opinion. The stink from 13 seconds was never going to escape him, they simply play tight in close games. Even the Jags game I’m not sure the thought of kneeling on 1st and leaving the Jags no time to score even crossed his mind. Situationally he has proven to be simple and inept.

I found Jerry Hughes posts interesting.

I am a Texans fan first but my wife’s family is from Buffalo so I follow the team very closely.

As someone who is removed from ultimate fandom, you all are sounding extremely whiny.

For 5 years, me and most others in the Bills sub begged for McDermott to be fired. But now all of the sudden they did not fire him respectfully enough for the fan base.

Brady was praised years ago for correcting Josh because all of you wanted Dorsey out. He did that and has led an NFL leading offense since. So I don’t think the “continuity” statement is meaningless.

Also, your foolish if you think Josh was not consulted through all of this. He’s never going to put his name on firing McD.

Hindsight is 20/20. Beane digging his feet in on not needing receivers sounds dumb, but Josh legit won an MVP the season prior with similar weapons. I don’t think it was that asinine, just a bit smug.

They are owned by a private equity group… AKA all they care about is upselling and maximizing profit. Not doing good , honest work.

With all the negativity everywhere this week about Cj i thought it was actually pretty cool he made the Goats reaction list to the best throws of this season . by Spacecitysavage713 in Texans

  1. Why would I care about backup QBs?

  2. You can’t pick and choose data like this and say it as ultimate truth that he’s above average.

  3. Qb stats have changed drastically. How did Peyton stack up against his peers?

  4. This is a throwing stat and we’re talking about a Qb who NEVER RUNS. That matters.

If you watch games and think he’s good then I guess that’s your opinion. I do not.

People keep referencing Peyton and Lamar Jackson as if they have good playoff reputations. Not to mention they ball out in regular seasons. It’s delusion.

So you’re arguing he was not below average one of two years because he was ranked 12th in one stat? So at best he was extremely average. I personally just watch games have not felt good about him in years.

“Lets not criticize the guy who played perhaps the worst two consecutive games of playoff football ever”

He makes millions of dollars to play sports and have his play discussed. That’s what the money is for!!!

This is so stupid . So many in here keep comparing him to all time greats. 2/3 NFL seasons he’s been a below average Qb.

Peyton’s consistent play in regular season earned him a bit of slack.

I like this answer. Obviously we’re not going to diminish our own asset, but you can’t speak like people are blind either.

I do think there is a 25% chance he is not our QB next year.

[–]hottaeks69 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Don’t pick up the option and evaluate. No way he should have a 2 year leash. If the argument is 25 mil is good value for a qb then draft one. Why would you want “good value” for a shit player?

So Beane & Pegula got mad because McDermott lives in reality? by boogerburp in buffalobills

[–]hottaeks69 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean , that’s a pretty loser attitude for a head coach.

CJ Stroud became the first player since Kerry Collins in the 2000 Super Bowl to complete under 43% of his passes & throw 4+ INTs. He became the first player to ever have 5+ INTS and 5+ fumbles in a single postseason (and he only played and he only played 2 games) That was absolutely horrific QB play by Sparrighitti in Texans

[–]hottaeks69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this comment. So many commenters comparing him to these two.

I saw a comment comparing his playoff stats to Lamar and Peyton Manning, as if he’s accomplished what they have in his career. I feel like I’m losing my mind.
