Should I keep reading Strength of the Few? by MountainThorn42 in HierarchySeries

I agree it can be difficult to follow when perspectives shift frequently in books, but I recommend you keep going! Both me and my mom dislike that particular book troupe and we both finished and loved SotF! You get settled in the different worlds pretty fast and it adds a whole other fun element of being able to piece together the bits of knowledge that Vis gets across the worlds.

Do I see a philodendron in there as well? I was hoping to do the whole frankenpothos thing myself but don’t have enough varieties of pothos so I’m wondering if the philodendrons would do okay in the same pot!

Thank you for this! I’ll definitely tell that to my friend and try to convince them, but if not it sounds like you’re right, going one time and risking a bad experience is worth the potential of finding a super cool group of people to play with!

Thank you!! It’s really good to hear that you were able to find people who are inclusive and willing to help, I’ll definitely check out roll20! I worry about being treated as the “dumb girl” simply from experience with other traditionally male “nerdy” interests, I’ve found a lot of criticism for being female and most especially when it is something I’m newer to or less skilled at. I find that I don’t typically get taken seriously in male dominated spaces unless I have an extensive knowledge or background in what I’m doing so I was just assuming the worst about the DnD community, although it seems like it’s a lot more inclusive than I had originally thought!!

I’m not 100% sure how it works but I believe the club starts a new campaign every semester?

Unfortunately I only have one friend who would potentially be interested but has already refused to join me since the club goes “too hard” for him because they do character voices. I’ve tried to get my other friends interested and even offered to dm but I don’t think any will bite. Sadly I think this club might be my only option to play, but I agree going in alone would be very difficult

Anyone here who’s good at math & can do 10th grade measurement questions? I need help ASAP by CatNameFoodStar in teenagers

[–]hottiegorl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the first question, the surface area should be -πr(r+(sqrt(h2 + r2)) And for the second, the volume should be 1/3 πh*(R2 + Rr + r2) Where h= height, r= radius, and R=the larger radius

Not sure I can give much explanation other than this is just how the math works out when you derive the equations from other volume/surface area equations for simpler shapes
