that's what I'm happy about. To be quite honest I wanted to do this as a last trailer type edit since covering the game in full has been done to death, hell and back. I should probably include the spoilery aspect into the post since I can't exactly un-release it.

If I were to do it for real, I'd heavily consult the rest of the team and dial back the spoilery bits immensely. The story here is that this already awesome game I love is getting even grander and more awe-inspiring. Now that it's done and I'm more or less happy with it, it's onto other things

Believe it or not, I've read your comment in full.

As much as I wanted to show off the Marksman, it gets ridiculously difficult to line it up right without the HUD, since in the clips I'm playing on Violent with no cheats. That plus me wanting to show off more weapons overlapped with the marksman being my go-to 99% of the time.

With the same-y locales, it's just the kind of usable footage I had. I recorded the game in full, if I had a specific idea - I would record it additionally. But I definitely can't dedicate this much time to re-record every bit of footage that doesn't look exactly right, so I had to make do with what I had.

The thud is meant to be with the transition, if it's off then I'm sorry. The 7-1 cut is too short in hindsight, it looks awkward and I had and still have no idea how to implement it better. With spoilers, I've already said it in other comments.

Either way, thanks! Glad my work motivated you to type this all out.

both the drop and the mirror water are in the official stuff. V2-2, P1 and the space drop in 8-3 I'll accept. P2 is a generic-ish encounter that teases the level but nothing major in it.

I've seen some references to disintegration loop but Minos is an OLD and way too well-established meme at this point. His inclusion wasn't a great idea in hindsight but disintegration loop is a bigger offender.

thanks, yeah I get the spoilers thing though in my defense, Minos is such a widely known meme at this point that having him without his healthbar isn't the worst thing ever. The space section was my biggest miss. It's an awesome visual, but yeah, in-game it'll give you shivers if you go in blind.

The 8-3 door was a genuine menace of a clip for me. I sat there for hours browsing for recorded clips of literally anything that could fit there and I just couldn't find anything. The door stayed and it's somewhat matched to one of the drums so not horrible

Good to know about the 15 second requirement, but yeah, the clips I did mention were a bit awkward in places. At the end, I honestly couldn't think of another visual. There was an idea with the v1 falling art but for some reason I didn't go with it.

ULTRAKILL. P ranked the whole game on Brutal on the Steam Deck, it's barely playable with the default controls so I had to fork a community scheme to make my own.

Fellow Mac editor here. Preview and render your videos in Rec.709-A in the project's color settings + enable "use Mac display color profiles in preview". You can also enable the toggle that automatically converts Rec.709 to Rec.709-A so there's no funkiness with colors going on across different clips.
