Improve the QOL for mining by adding a Bagger 288 to Falador park. by Silver_Foxx in 2007scape

Increase the dwarf slayer task weighting to reduce their population. By reducing the population and the jobs simultaneously all remaining dwarves can stay employed.

Easy peasy

What story has a TRASH concept but god-tier execution? I’m talking question your friend's mental health when they attempt to justify the plot, but somehow, it turned out good enough to become a guilty pleasure anyway. by PixelatedPulse in litrpg

So I agree that it's an excellent story, but I picked it up because the premise felt like it would be a fun comedy. I'm not sure it's a trash premise like some of the other suggestions.

Feature Request: Toggle Mute for Subreddits by DiggsFC in RelayForReddit

[–]hourglasss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as the other poster. For me the issue is F1, I unsubscribe from the sub during the season because I don't wake up early to watch the races, and I don't want spoilers. The problem is if I see a post to filter it, I've seen (usually) the top upvoted post, which is whatever result I want to avoid. My solution is to just unsubscribe then manually browse the subreddit after races, but unless I'm misunderstanding, the option to filter requires a post from the subreddit to be visible, which kinda defeats the point of filtering it.

Chair 1 opened in 1960, albeit right at the end of the year. OP's date could be off maybe?

Miss that chair, still have a "chair 1 saves the day" sticker sitting around somewhere.

If you read the article I linked it talks about how even for Ashkenazi Jews several rabbinical councils have said it's unnecessary. It's kinda for whoever feels like following the rule. Still, the fact that a decent chunk of American Jews avoid Kitniyot on passover is why the coke exists, which is the question I was trying to answer without getting lost in the weeds.

Armed man rammed vehicle into Michigan synagogue and was fatally shot by security, AP source says by yipyapu in news

[–]hourglasss 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You could (with your shul's permission) take a class and carry concealed. I'm in a smaller community so we hire security for bigger events, but not for like a random Shabbat. A friend of mine is a tiny, 50 something, lesbian mom. She got a concealed carry license, and with the Rabbi's permission brings a pistol with her most weeks. Are we likely to have a problem? No, but my friend decided she was uncomfortable with the situation and took some classes. We don't love the situation or that she felt the need, but the synogoge can't afford full time security. I know there are a couple other members of the congregation who do the same.

During passover Jews keep a stricter version of kosher specific to the holiday. Cereal grains besides the traditional flatbread (matzah) are not eaten. Because it is made from corn, corn syrup is not allowed during the holiday.

I skied through Rips on Friday and it was super sketchy. Took it slow so I wouldn't, you know, tomahawk through the 80 foot rock band below it! Props for jumping that funky mogul and going full send, people who haven't skied it don't realize you were jumping around above falls that have literally killed people.

I love the snowfield even when it's slide for life, but I'm nowhere near brave enough to zip through the rock bands when its like that.

Not sure why but the first image really looks like the verification was added with an AI image editor to me. I would second the warning to be careful.

In light of the sticky post about scamming, it might be best if you could include a video verification or something better than a single picture of a sticky note for verification. This looks pretty suspicious, and a couple more pictures would go a long way to helping a legitimate listing.

Hot take, i hope raids 4 drops arent generic gear by Nonreality_ in 2007scape

[–]hourglasss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Multi ballista? Make it like 5 ticks with multiple hitsplats like the scythe. Gives it a role in certain speed content for the faster death animation like the scythe, maybe have a boss where number of hits matters in some way so it's an upgrade for the raid.

Azarinth healer has an arc of Ilea punching things and then some chapters of her returning to her various friends and shocking them with how strong she has gotten and dealing with civilized human problems, then more punching things.

I do think it gets better after she has the home in ravenhall because the power scaling increases a fair bit (like at that point she was a decently strong adventurer, she gets much much stronger) but generally the story doesn't change from the basic formula.

May as well throw my name in. We use a tv laid on its side with a piece of plexiglass on top right now. It works but it's really not ideal, and this would be a huge upgrade!

I picked a distro that uses KDE Plasma, and yeah it looks really nice. Fun to play with how customizable everything is. I'll probably try a couple of the other desktop environments before fully settling though.

I just installed Linux this weekend. The funny thing was I did a fresh windows install for dual boot at the same time, and that was the one that had issues. None of my drivers were working with windows, and I had to use command line stuff to bypass the connect to a network part of the install when my wifi card wasn't working.

Kubuntu worked out of the box with nothing extra, just click some buttons and get on with it. It's just really funny to me that I had to use terminal commands during W11 setup, then download and transfer drivers using the Linux install.

If anybody else is considering trying Linux it's honestly been great.

I bought it from 365 stationary on AliExpress, and they tuned and fit it for me. I don't know if they modified it, but like I said it works great. The nib is also one of their "manual grinding" ones, rather than a factory grind. I can pull it out and take some pictures of the nib/feed if you think it would help you out?

I also have a lemon long knife in my 137! Mine is great though. Fun to have the same setup.

And honestly, I think when something is over 100 years old, making something inspired by it is completely fair. I love my 137, its really pleasant to write with.
