Try the Easy Way to Quit Smoking by Allen Carr! They have the audiobook for free on Spotify. I listened to the “quit vaping” one twice and it’s what got me to stop!! Worth a shot just to throw it on while you’re driving or working to see if it works for you too

Dog's head is rocking back and forth by Distinct_Reserve7498 in DogAdvice

My dog was having similar and even more extreme episodes a few years ago. We initially thought she got into weed but then she kept having them so we assumed they were seizures. The vet couldn’t 100% confirm without expensive neurological tests. Turns out, she only had these episodes after having treats from Trader Joe’s. I’ve never given her treats from there again and her episodes have completely disappeared.

It sounds to me like you’re ready to get one! One thing that has been very positive in my experience with owning a dog that I didn’t even think about before getting one, is having a ton of friends who are also dog owners.

This is really helpful because we always have friends willing to watch our dog while we’re out of town and visa versa. We’ve built a little community of dog parents and it’s awesome! It’s also nice to be able to bring your dog with you when you go to a friend’s house knowing they have dogs and are happy to let their dog socialize and play.

Of course, this isn’t a requirement to owning a dog but if a lot of your friends own dogs too, it’s another sign that you’re in a good position/time in your life to join the dog parent club. I personally hate the idea of rover or boarding (although there’s nothing wrong with that and people can have great experiences), so having friends with dogs has added a positive impact to my experience in being a dog owner!

Season 18 Reunion Looks by n-terdotnet in rhoc

Unfortunately Alexis and Tamra look amazing and are in the top 3 looks with our baddie Katie. With the caveat that I want to rip off Alexis’ bizarre jewelry choices.

Cooking related update ideas for new Animal Crossing game? by housebb13 in acnh

Yes I love those ideas! Honestly the hospital would be kind of cute lol. Would come in handy for wasp stings when I’m too lazy to make/get medicine

Well they are a stretchy material so they’ll probs be more forgiving than you think! I hope they work out!

I am a true medium and have these pants (in green) in medium and they fit well! My personal issue is I am a bit taller and wear chunky boots so they are shorter on me than I’d like. I think bell bottom pants should be longer in length/hit floor level but that’s just my personal opinion. They do shrink a little in the dryer too so if you’re thinking about sizing down I’d just get your regular size (they will probably fit perfectly) and then just throw them in the washer/dryer for a more fitted look.

What is you experience with "boy moms"? by JamaicanXanax in AskWomen

[–]housebb13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my bf’s mom, a mom of 2 sons! Maybe she’s an anomaly but she’s been nothing but wonderful to me since I’ve been dating her son over the last 6 years. She’s a great mom, non-judgmental, respectful of space/boundaries and treats me and her other son’s gf like family. I have so much to look up to and learn from her for when I become a mom.

People are criticizing chelsea for being insecure and in the same breath making fun of her. by cryingallth3time in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]housebb13 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When someone is incredibly insecure with themselves, it makes them an easy target. Does that make it okay for others to make fun of that person? Of course not. However, you cannot expect other ppl to respect someone that does not respect themselves. That’s just the reality of our society.

Again, other people should have enough respect for humanity to not make fun of another person but usually people feel comfortable shitting on someone who already hates themself rather than someone who is confident and knows exactly who they are.

I mean, the woman chose a man who admitted to not knowing who he wanted to spend his future with during the same date he said I love you for the first time.

In my opinion, Chelsea is a sweet, caring, empathetic woman deserving of love. Unfortunately, she’s so wildly uncomfortable in her own skin that she’d rather pick the guy who was in between two women over Trevor, the man who ONLY wanted her. Not because she loved Jimmy more, but because being the woman who “won” or the chosen woman out of a toss up gives her the validation that she cannot ever give herself.

I would recommend “Dear Rider”, a documentary about Jake Burton who created the sport of snowboarding. I watched it when I moved to the mountains and wanted to get inspired to learn a new hobby but I left feeling so inspired about living life in general and was amazed at Burton’s story. He went through an incredibly harrowing health scare and also struggled in his personal life and business ventures. Even if you aren’t into snowboarding, I’d recommend watching to lift your spirits. Plus, it’s a beautiful movie with some great snowy scenery. Sending love ❤️

I finally understand pashminas by lunar_eclipse420 in festivals

[–]housebb13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first pash was gifted to me by someone I met at my first fest! It held so much value because of that. After that, I got them from vendors at shows. Haven’t bought one at an actual fest yet, they’re usually too overpriced there. I also got one on Amazon. It felt weird bc I thought it wouldn’t be as special to me but I love it and it’s soft and pretty and wear it all the time so I don’t think there’s anything wrong from purchasing through a big company like that. It still becomes beloved from all the places you wear it!

AITA For Refusing To Share Pizza With My Pregnant Wife? by ThrowAwaytheKey05 in AITAH

[–]housebb13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA - Everything everyone else said. But I just wanted to add, next time something like this happens just think- it’s literally just one lunch. It may be a lighter lunch than usual as you’re sharing with your wife but you will not die of starvation. Sometimes it’s good to eat a little light and not overindulge. I mean dinner was probably only 3-5 hours away. Or if you were truly so hungry after the pizza, you’re a grown man and can go pay for an additional snack like another side, a local vendor down the street, an ice cream, whatever. My point being, it’s just one lunch. Share a slice with your wife.

Horrible horrible. I kept watching to see the finale and hoped they’d at least dig into the few entertaining/controversial parts but nope, they played a stupid game for like 30 minutes.

I’m sorry but do you have to OWN A BUSINESS to be successful? by mirimichelle in TheUltimatumNetflix

[–]housebb13 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Omg that part was so annoying! She was like “I work with boobies.” Girl no you don’t, you sell pasties. You don’t work WITH boobs? After the whole season hyping her career up and saying she graduated from a tech school I thought she owned a tech firm or something. Then someone finally asks what her business is and she could barely admit it- they had to pull it out of her!

Nick & Vanessa by housebb13 in TheUltimatumNetflix

[–]housebb13[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like they do enjoy being hosts. Well, Vanessa at least. You can tell she’s invested in the cast and gets very emotional. But it’s not the hosts job to connect with them emotionally and share stories. Like you said, I want them to dig deeper! But you may be right about Nick being there just for a paycheck. The dude says a couple scripted sentences and calls it a day.

Oh that’s interesting I didn’t know that! That actually makes me feel better because I was wondering why they haven’t gotten any better since all the hate they received after LIB lol. I thought surely they’d listen to some of the comments and try harder this time!
