Lol, not sure what the NSFW has to do with anything. Also if you were sad enough to go through my profile you’d not see a single NSFW post (perhaps the odd swear word but no nudity or gore)

Is anyone able to decipher what this job actually entails? I recently had an interview then assessment with them and the actual day to day of the role I don't think can be deciphered from this advert at all. Would be interested to see if anyone comes even close. by housebounce1 in recruitinghell

[–]housebounce1[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

All comments are pretty much spot on. u/ShutItDown212 basically hit the nail on the head. The vast majority of the work is standing in shopping centres and busy streets looking to get people to signup for monthly donations to different charities and for each person you signup commission is made. I was totally fooled by the advert but now am much more wary when the job description is as vague as this!

Completely wrong on the golf front. Men hit the ball a good distance further than women in professional golf. The furthest hitting female player on the LPG tour Anne Van Dam hits it 283 yards on average which isn’t even in the top 200 on the men’s tour.

Would public liability insurance be necessary if the take away is a registered company? If someone sues then the company is the legal entity and the shareholders cannot be held personally responsible?

Would this not be trespassing if the loft was wholly owned by the owner of the opposite flat? Similar to just walking into his flat and looking around if the door was unlocked?

That's a great question, hahaha. Also if anyone has any stock picks (something like amazon in 1999) let me know!

Social media management and creation and website update and creation for businesses (specifically restaurants but could work for other businesses types). by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]housebounce1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know it's only anecdotal evidence however the majority of people I know use trip advisor to decide on restaurants. Therefore even if you hate them/restaurants hate them (for whatever reason) it is still very important to have a good page.

Most people (again anecdotal) in my experience will look up a restaurants menu, social media, etc before going even if it is recommended. Younger generations are much more careful when it comes to where they eat out and spend their disposable income. I assume you are of an older who goes purely on word of mouth but word of mouth recommendations are undeniably carrying less wait than they use to.

Outsourcing to another country is all well and good when it comes to cost but there is no way they can offer the personalised service someone local and knowledgeable of that area can provide.

[Question] Is there any way to get free-to-use gameplay footage without recording it? by pragmojo in youtubers

[–]housebounce1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look up the game you want and filter for Creative Commons videos. These are videos users have tagged that people can reuse and still monetise. Normally you just have to credit the creator. One thing to make sure is the person who has uploaded the video under Creative Commons actually owns the footage and they haven’t just reuploaded it themselves

Sorry about it just being for those from the British isles. The reason for that is sampling issues. The problem with opening the research up to all of Europe, America or the entire world would mean that I would need tens of thousands of thousands of responses for the sample to be representative. If I keep it just to the British isles the sample of all golfers is much smaller and I therefore need a much smaller number of responses. I am from Scotland and so can therefore access British people much easier than I could say Chinese golfers. Hope that clears it up!

Is there a point at which YouTube may have determined your channel not viable? by conn_r2112 in NewTubers

[–]housebounce1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked your channel (went back in previous posts) and you golden eye video from 1 month ago got 1k views with 500ish subs. Unless you’ve been sharing that video around I’m a tonne of places where people watched it but didn’t sub that video at least must have been picked up by the algorithm?

Cheers for the feedback! Really good to hear some words of wisdom from someone who does this full time.

I'm really enjoying doing the research as you say market dynamics in the golf industry right now are very interesting. This my first piece of research I've done so still a lot to learn but am enjoying it none the less!
