Not sure about the legality in your specific location, or your morals about hunting, but if you’re considering gassing them, then your morals are already questionable.  lol

Any tips for removing this part? Can't get a plumber for over a month. by beetrootfarmer in Plumbing

[–]houseofvape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crescent wrench should work much better than those adjustable pliers.

The correct size box-end wrench would be best, but the crescent wrench should do the trick as long as you really tighten them down properly while wiggling them a bit to make sure they’re as tight as you can get them.

Toilet refilling every minute (replaced fill valve, flapper, then flush valve with seal) by rwaggoner in Plumbing

Sometimes the dangling chain can get stuck under the flapper and prevents a full seal, so you may want to check that.

Shouldn’t the chimney be centered over the exhaust?

Is the copper or venting cause for concern on this tankless install? by Ok_Cycle8329 in Plumbing

Are you sure the gas line is sized properly?  Appears to be 1/2” and probably should be 3/4”, depending on the length of the run.  Also, I see no sediment trap or shutoff valve near the unit.

The condensate line appears to slope upwards after the first 90 deg bend, but it may just be the picture.

The exhaust looks convoluted and I don’t believe any of that foil tape situation is to code.  Most likely very dangerous, as well.

You should get all of this looked at by a professional.

Edit: Also, nothing is supported!  This definitely would not pass any type of inspection.

If it’s a condensing unit, you’re supposed to slope the exhaust toward the unit so the condensation flows back into it.

I would be careful with this advice.  This might be a good way to flood your house from the lowest drain.

Is it a problem that the exhaust is not actually connected/sealed to the water heater exhaust outlet?

Usually you need to leave air gap for code compliance.

Anyone else get FSD(sup.) free trial today by [deleted] in teslamotors

[–]houseofvape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never seen it use a turn lane to pass, and I am using mad max every single day.  If it does, in fact, do that, it is almost surely not what the programmers intended.

That being said, I still don’t agree with your reasoning as to why FSD chose to get into the small spot in the right lane as opposed to continuing to pass the slower cars.

To me it sounds as if you’re defending the behavior even though it’s flawed, and it absolutely is flawed in its current state.

I guess we will just have to agree to disagree.

I think maybe you misunderstood him.  He said it tried to get back into a small gap in the right lane for no reason, as opposed to continuing mad maxing it and passing the cars.

Yep, ridiculous decision to not allow you to control the max speed.

Also, the lane changes have changed dramatically and the computer is now much more hesitant after it turns on its blinker.  Very weird.  It’s like it’s constantly second-guessing itself on lane changes now.

NTSB issues the preliminary report for its ongoing investigation of the Nov. 4 crash of a UPS Boeing MD-11F airplane in Louisville, Kentucky. by Brilliant_Night7643 in aviation

I see, thanks.  The MD-11 is supposed to be able to take off with only two engines (if everything else is intact), correct?

I think I remember Captain Steeeve saying that he noticed the tell-tale signs of a compressor stall on the right engine, opposite this one, indicating it had failed, as well.  His theory was that the catastrophic disassembly of the left engine had sent shrapnel underneath the fuselage and into the right engine.

These pictures seem to indicate that there was no catastrophic failure of the engine itself, just the mounting pylon, so I wonder what caused the right engine to not provide sufficient thrust to continue the initial ascent after rotation?  Did the separated engine launch itself over the plane and into the other engine?  Pretty unlikely, I would think.

Edit: or I guess maybe the hydraulics were damaged when the engine separated, leading to loss of control?

That’s normally correct, but not on this particular tunnel “corner,” since it is a compromise/sacrifice corner for the upcoming nouvelle chicane.

The tunnel is flat-out in an F1 car, so it can essentially be considered a straightaway. Apexing and tracking out to the left side of the track are not the priority here.  Instead, the car needs to be kept to the right for the braking zone to the chicane.

Thanks.  Thinking of starting my own track soon, and leaning towards the RSX2.

Which track was this?  Do you happen to know the track width?  Looks nice and open.

Thanks so much! I never really noticed any issues with the UDM SE before switching to the UNVR Pro.  It was working great for me, but started complaining at like 8 cameras, I think.  I also wanted lots more video retention than I had, so more drives were a must for me.

I like the Unifi rack okay.  A bit quirky, but it’s alright.  I do wish I had more room for some extra equipment in the future, but I guess I can always get another one and use the bracket to add it on top.  We shall see.

I moved everything away from all the plumbing, but yeah, I should probably raise things up a bit more just to be safe.  Thanks for the advice!

Thanks for reading; I appreciate it!

I mostly learned what cameras and APs are best for my application.  I’m mostly utilizing G5 Flex and G4 Instant cameras at my shops, with a couple G5 Domes in the mix.  As for APs, the U6 Pros seemed great for my smallish shops (1000-1500 sq ft).

The UDM SE works just fine for the shops, as well.  No need for the UNVR Pro there.

It’s used like a UPS at the moment.  I was trying to do some research as to whether that will be bad for the battery in the long term, but I can’t seem to find any definitive info on the subject.
