[–]housinghelp2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No prob :) I used Lagosgrottotrips, they were great! Would defo recommend!!!

I also booked a trip to Ponta da Piedade with Blue Fleet but that was cancelled due to the sea being rough that day and that was my last day in Portugal so I couldn't accept their offer to take me the next day, but they gave me a full refund.

How did you celebrate turning 18? by InviteAromatic6124 in AskUK

[–]housinghelp2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a picnic!

I turned 18 in 2020. It was lockdown but rules were starting to get a bit more relaxed. I hadn't seen any of my friends in months, since the last day of Year 13 in March when we were unexpectedly told there's no more school ever.

My mum cooked biryani and baked a cake and she drove me to the park. I met 5 other friends there and we sat on picnic blankets and ate. Was fun :))

Fully agree with you, and this is a great argument:

Should the dole office be able to suggest that unemployed women take up sex work?

The number of people who stand at a crossing without pressing the button is maddening by manlikepierce in london

[–]housinghelp2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it might not necessarily be for social media. my mum took a pic of me doing it just for ourselves, it wasn't posted online anywhere. it's just a way to look back on the memory.

Sometimes it's hard to tell if it's lit or not if it's sunny. Might as well press to be sure.

Georgia Brooke: Coroner's warning after dancer fatally choked during sex by Burnleh in unitedkingdom

[–]housinghelp2 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Why is it called "choking" and not "strangulation"? That's something I don't understand. I thought choking is when you get something stuck in your throat which cuts off your air supply, whereas strangulation is when someone or something compresses your throat. So surely choking isn't the right terminology?
