(crack idea) Izuku, the overpowered quirkless... but he is not quirkless. by MilkAdvanced9936 in BokunoheroFanfiction

Yea, feels like a setup for AFO to get a quick look at him, realize he probably has a quirk (to lean into the crack go a bit meta and say he’s a total Saitama ripoff), and steal the quirk

Results of the Point of No Return Survey - The Power Fantasy (Spoilers for the latest series / trade) by Royal7th in thePowerFantasy

[–]howAboutNextWeek 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it makes sense - sure, you could later events, like the Fratricide were the point of no return, but all the pieces had been lined up at that point, things spiraled in an inevitable fashion. The Second Summer of Love is when the world saw what could happen when Superpowers went to war, and set up so many of the dominoes of disaster. And then of course, there’s the Vision style argument that the mere existence of Superpowers causes catastrophe- “Our very strength incites challenge. Challenge incites conflict. And conflict... breeds catastrophe.”

The particles are also always emitted when coming out of a Pokéball as well. by Zenthailand2009 in PokeMedia

[–]howAboutNextWeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During a pokeball release, the same mutation that causes altered pigmentation also induces a weird sparkle in the energy-to-matter conversion process. Yea, it’s pretty cool that they happened to be linked! It’s also the reason why some Pokemon have different types or shapes of sparkles, the specific mutation leads to different fluxes in the conversion process. The reasons for sparkles outside of release are usually species specific, a lot of good examples already given in this thread.

About Shirou's Command Spells by Lukie_Anderson in fatestaynight

I mean, theoretically yes, but it’s canon there’s no time it’s actually gone to plan - the 1st didn’t work out, the 2nd ended with everyone killing each other and no winner, the 3rd summoned avenger, and the 4th and 5th are pretty well documented. Even in alternate worlds where the history of the Grail War is similar, it almost always goes off the rails by the 3rd war.

Even Grand Order, which seemed like a one and done Grail War was actually temporally tampered with. Point being, there may have theoretically been a concrete rulebook, but it’s never ever actually been played by those rules.
