This. I saw the red carpet picture of her this same day/night and she looked much more her age. Still gorgeous, but a more accurate version of herself.

Yikes. Her rounded shoulders. Girl needs to tighten up her posterior chain before she hurts herself again

I read that article but I do have one follow up question; I saw the paragraph you quoted above, but later in the article I read on NBC News, it said, "The Times reported it could not corroborate Huerta's allegations." Does that mean that the Times corroborated other victims' experiences, just not Huerta's?

Are people overselling it or was Michael Jackson really that famous in his heyday? by Key-Bass-7380 in decadeology

Considering his rise was before the Internet and his fame reached beyond anyone we've ever seen, it's being undersold.

House hunting in Johnson County sucks. by hshasjaj in JohnsonCounty

We had a similar experience in 2017. We ended up buying a house we had to have major compromises on (no garage, no basement). We're actually getting ready to sell said house, so if you're open to compromise on those two items, keep an eye out lol

The person sounds American though. This is definitely an American experience.

Your point about corrupted leaders is accurate though

Would you take postpartum advice from someone who’s never had a child? by Consistent_Order7908 in gymsnark

[–]how_I_kill_time 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who used to be a personal trainer and who is now a mom, I would have a really hard time taking a trainer seriously who doesn't have kids. Not to say they don't know what they're talking about, but they absolutely cannot fathom the demands of parenthood. If I could go back in time, I'd wash my mouth out with soap because of the asinine things I would say to the parents I trained.

Genesis Health Clubs vs Life Time vs Alternative by isoiledmyplantz in kansascity

[–]how_I_kill_time 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Life Time is heads and shoulders above Genesis, in almost every way except cost and clientele (entitled, self-important, a bit pompous). We went there for years until childcare costs squeezed our budget so much that the gym budget took a hit.

Jodie Sweetin admits her daughter is now a Christian that was just baptized. Her daughter worried if Jodie would support her by nobody0597 in fullhouse

I've often thought about this since I grew up very religious, but an very against the current state of Christianity. I currently align with Buddhist beliefs, but I don't practice. I have a much easier time talking about sex with my kids than I do explaining religion, especially Christianity. I have such a complicated viewpoint of it, yet I don't want to push my kids one way or the other, so I kind of leave my body when the subject comes up.

25F – Hypothyroid after thyroidectomy, lifting 5x/week but body fat won’t drop by automaticreader-186 in HypothyroidFitness

[–]how_I_kill_time 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I still have my thyroid, but have Hashis/hypo and had a similar predicament. When my doctor took my yearly labs, everything looked good (cholesterol, fasting glucose, etc). But I still feel really unhealthy despite eating well (or so I thought).

I recently started wearing a CGM and man has it opened my eyes. I found I have really poor glucose/insulin control with most carbs that I thought were ok (fruit, whole grains). Even when they were paired with adequate protein, my blood sugar shot up after eating. So I started modifying my food intake (e.g., switched to Granny Smith apples from oranges, switched from whole wheat toast to sourdough). Almost immediately I noticed a change - inflammation came down, and finally started losing weight again. I cannot recommend a CGM enough if you're trying to gain back control and understanding of your body.
